Maybe the best vegan food on Oahu, definitely among my favorite vegan restaurants!! It?s such a joy to be able to order off an... entire great menu without having to worry about looking for the vegan section. The Banana Flower salad is a fantastic starter, Ilove #42 The Spring Roll Noodle and #24 Joy Noodle Soup. But I don?t think you can go wrong anywhere on the menu. Super friendlystaff!! Best vegan food on the island! When we travel the hardest part is finding vegan options for my husband. We stopped here for... lunch and everything was fantastic. We're only disappointed we didn't find this place until the end of our trip. Read more
Great place for Vegan dining (even if you aren't). I went in expecting to ask the classic question "is it vegan?" but I was... pleasantly surprised as soon as I sat down to see the cover over the menu saying ALL ITEMS ARE VEGAN!!! Total win. So much goodfood to pick from on the menu. I went for the quesadilla (which was amazing) and the Simple Joy Soup (again a greatchoice). Service was great since I was the only dine-in customer. The only down-side of the whole experience was thetemperature of the dining room. I asked if the AC was broken when I was paying the check and the response was disheartening. TheAC only gets turned on for dinner service right now so that they can keep cost down. So, I beg anyone reading this to go getyour meals at Simple Joy so they can turn AC on during the day. Maybe it won't be so dang hot the next time I want to eat somegreat Vegan food. Read more
Amaaaazing! This place is sooo good! The Boco Moco is so delicious, I?ve never had vegan eggs before but I was very pleasantly... surprised! The veggie bahn mi was also quite good as were their spring rolls. The broth in the wonton soup was perfect. I wasn?tcrazy about the flavor of the wontons themselves but my husband really liked them so I guess it?s just a matter of preference.Will be coming here again. FYI they do have parking in the back of the restaurant so don?t park in the street and pay the meterlike we did. Read more
We had the Vegetable tempura which came with a side of a sweet and spicy sauce. The crispy tofu in the tempura was really... good! For the main course, we ordered the Joy noodle soup and Puttanesca pasta. The soup was the best noodle soup my wife and Ihave ever had. The serving size is also pretty big so we had to pack the pasta and it tasted okay when cold. But we'redefinitely going back for the soup. They have a few parking spots at the back of the building, so do check that out beforetrying to find roadside parking. Read more
