This place is awesome! ???? we stopped here on our way home from camping up north on 7/27/22 looking for a quick bite to eat.... The place was well staffed and very clean! Super cool retro look.. lots of things to spot on the walls while your seated. Two ofus ordered the Chicago style pizza, it was one of the best pizzas we have ever ate! The other two got a pizza and club sub, verybig portions and also super good! Three of us got the salad bar as an add on, the salad bar area was super clean and wellstocked with fresh vegetables nothing looked old or bad. I would totally recommend this place to anyone, the price was right onand the leftover pizza was just as good warmed up for leftovers. Papa J's is a great place. It is good for locals and travelers alike. The service is excellent, it's always clean And the food... is always good. They keep the pizza buffet well stocked even close to close. My husband and I have been going here for yearsand have never had a bad experience. I've tried a lot of different menu items and never disliked anything, and I am pickierthan a two year old. I recommend the shrimp Po boy and the pot roast sandwich for sure. Read more
wasn't amazing, wasn't horrible. The theme is fun. We did the pizza buffet and salad bar. Price was reasonable however the pizza... was very old and limited. I only saw one server working the whole floor. There were at least 4 families including us waiting forfresh pizza to be brought out. Once it finally came it was decent. Read more
The place was not all that busy, I felt ignored but that is not reasonable thinking I'd say understaffed is most likely the... answer, wate staff is very nice. It took 10 min just to get a drink and menu, ok well that can happen but if not being criticalservice is often prompt and delightful at Papa J's. The restaurant is really neatly decorated like a retro modern 1950"sdinner interesting to look at all the Kool paintings and things people looking all around tv on although watching sealionsgive birth on the Discovery Channel is not the best dinning entertainment. I ordered biscuits and gray 3 eggs hash browns andbacon. At 9:49 arrived at 10:21 so approximately 30 min the table that arrived 10 min after my arrival was served firstwell ok what can you do but twiddle your thumbs I have found reacting to such things is fruitless Nothing good ever happens with negative confrontational aggressive behavior. The food looks ok. Hash browns raw inside. Biscuits and grave are extremely good light Biscuits and the gravy is tasty and light and creamy ???? great combo, eggs over easy nice jod there and baconcrisp 5 peaces ok, all in all food is good would be great but undercooked hash brown got Papa J's a good instead of exclentgrade restaurant is nice wate staff is under staffed price high. Got home an hour later with the food ate it room temperature and it was still amazing. The extra thick crust pizza is... incredible. Super fluffy and crispy. Pizza bones are soo good too! Read more
Good old traditional American diner. The food is good and in good portions. We took papa pizza and garlic knots. The garlic... knots were very soft and fluffy. Liked their marinara sauce. The servers were friendly and welcoming. It has a retro look to itfrom inside. Read more

Friendly staff, good service. My wife and I each got the all-you-can-eat buffet (soup, salad, and pizza bar). Nothing over the... top fancy about the salad bar, but just a very good selection, everything fresh and delicious. The pizza bar had four differentselections. The sauce was very tasty, the crust nice and crispy. Again, not world class Chicago pizza, but very good pizza froma local place. The decor was very clean and cute, nice old fashioned diner vibe.
