We wanted a nice dinner out in Hood River and we found it. 3 Rivers Grill had great service, good and atmosphere. We sat outside... and enjoyed the warm weather and the sun setting. When you go here you're going to feel like you're eating a step or two above casual -- and that's enough for some people. A... restaurant in a converted house, accompanied by outdoor dining has allure -- and the prices will keep out the riffraff. Thefood is fresh and that's something to be proud of. However, a lot lf the dishes utilize a formula that is, IMO, a bitoverplayed. Protein, mashed potatoes, ubiquitous veg, and an ample drizzling of sauce that dresses it up and lends character. Soif you and your dining mate are the sort that like to order two different things and share/swap, you need to be selective, oryou'll be eating much of the same. There were definitely things that could have been done better. The food was just ok and the service was sub-par. None of the... service people we encountered there made any effort to be personable or welcoming. The meh food was made worse by the totallack of care we felt from the staff. Oh well, the rest of Hood River is phenomenal. Read more
We had lunch on the patio and the view was gorgeous. Food and service was really good. We had fish and chips, crab and lobster... cakes and the chicken salad. The crab cakes were a little small but the flavor was good. Read more
My husband and I stay in Hood River regularly we have wanted to to try this restaurant for a while and we were not disappointed... at all. The food, service and atmosphere was top notch. I had the special of the day fresh Chinook Salmon delicious, and myhusband had the Chicken Caesar Salad. Also we had the Shrimp and lobster cakes with a fantastic aioli sauce with a lovely bottleof Rose. Our server Sarah was very attentive, we will be back! Read more
