The food was very good. I rated it average due to the service, or lack there of. I was one of a party of 3; me and my husband... and brother-in-law. The waitress catered to them, refilled drinks, etc. I on the other hand never received a refill or extranapkins, etc. I may as well have been invisible. We had just gotten our meal and she was seated a large party and never cameback by our table. Our check was $150 and if she's wondering why we only left her a $20 tip, now she'll know. We are normallygood tippers and she COULD have just as easily made $50 tip that Labor Day lunch shift. Read more

I've been in Hoover for a long time now and Cajun Steamer has seriously made large strides to grow and adapt during these... strange times. Their atmosphere and food is amazing! Haven't ordered Mussels anywhere but 30a and they were perfect. Crab Clawsand even Oysters were great. Give them a shot! Read more

We decided to try this Cajun spot a couple of weeks ago and I am so glad we did! It?s a nice little spot close to the Galleria... Mall and they put Cajun right there in that little spot. I had the Shrimp & Grits which was a nice choice. Now, these Shrimp &Grits are different than any I have ever had. You get anything from grits on top of shrimp to an actual shrimp and grits dishat other restaurants then you get these shrimp and grits! The Shrimp & Grits at Cajun Steamer Bar & Grill are differentlyamazing. They are the most moist I have ever had and it?s a dish where the shrimp and grits go nicely together. Moist you ask? Yes, this dish has a lot of liquid which I enjoy. I assume it is coming from cooking the shrimp like shrimp scampi and thenbringing it all together. Hate that I?m bad at names but my server was amazing and so was the food. The atmosphere is welcoming and the best oysters and... Cajun food I?ve had. Besides BBs in Houston. This place was amazing and before I leave Alabama, I will be going back. Oh makesure to get the Voodoo Chicken w/cornbread as well. Read more
