We were in Hoover for one night. My husband found Jason?s Deli and it was next to our hotel. I tried to order on line but it... didn?t take my order so I called to place my order. I ordered a Ruben with broccoli and a 1/4 Ham and provolone muffuletta. Hubby said his Ruben was good but my sandwich is to die for!!! The slightly crusty roll held the olive salad ham and meltedprovolone slid across my tongue and sent a delicious flavors to my senses. I can?t begin to encourage people to try thissandwich. Chicken club salad, subbed chicken for salmon and added cucumber and mushrooms. I had to call and ask for my salad dressing... after the salad had already been brought out to my car. Glad I checked before I drove 25 minutes home. Cheese was so thicklylayered on the salad (like cheese was a filler) that the salad was inedible. One full forkful was cheese only. The salmontexture and taste was like a pre-packaged, warmed up, microwaved-cooked piece of meat. Jason's has gone down significantly.Terribly disappointed. Read more
Atmosphere and service were top notch. Expect to pay about $17-$20 per person with a drink. Ordered the Reuben with Mac N?... Cheese. Reuben was good, but DO NOT get the macaroni and cheese. I loved how open this Jason?s deli is! It makes it extremely easy to maneuver around in. The store was nice and clean and the... employee were very patient. The food was delicious and I was so excited to see that they sell chocolate cake! Maybe it?s just atthis location but it was very moist and cooked perfectly. My favorite is the club royal and the amazing salad bar. I reallyappreciated that there was an employee (Patrick) walking around helping everyone. My aunt is on oxygen and it?s hard for her tocarry her plate and oxygen tank to the table. Patrick was so sweet and caring, as soon as he saw my aunt struggling, he cameright over and carried her plate to the table. He made sure that everyone at the table always had a full drink and to gocontainers. Patrick, thank you for smiling and being so kind. You really made my aunts first visit to Jason?s Deli perfect. Baked Potatoes have been so dry the last 3 times I've been Strawberries has been a bit mushy in the side of fruit. When asked... for a soup sample to taste we were given a cold sample.. and last week when there the guy ringing our order up nicely asked hismanager for help to figure something out and was rudely dismissed help. we stood in line close to 10 minutes while he tried tofigure things out. I felt for the guy and how the rude manager did him. Treat the employees decent and they are more eager towork for you. Read more
