Our meals tasted fresh and delicious. If you like the flavors of sauteed onion, peppers, tomatoes, capers, olives, and feta... cheese then the Athenian snapper is an excellent choice. 2 of us had tasty tender baffalo popcorn shrimp. 1 enjoyed shrimp andgrits and another fresh salmon cakes. Meals come with a choice of 2 sides with several choices - a few choices at extra cost. Our 6 lunch meals ranged $12.99 - $23.99. 5 of our meals were under $20. The $23.99 was a large seafood platter. Soft drinksand tea were $2.99 each. Parties of 6 or more have gratuity of 20% added to the bill which was fine with us. Our server wasfriendly, checked on us, and brought us more drinks as needed. 3 of us boxed left overs. Altogether our bill with tax andgratuity was a little over $150 - averaging about $25 a person. We had a group of 15 for dinner. It was a family group that had not gotten together for several years. Our 95 year old... grandmother passed and we were in town for the funeral. The food was very good and service excellent but I would consider it as a splurge because it was a little pricey. I had six... grilled blackened shrimp with two sides and tea and it was around $24 with tip. They had some beautiful desserts in a case as weentered. Read more
The seafood meals are delicious! I had the grilled platter with grouper and it was fantastic! The servers are very nice and... helpful. Even those that choose to eat non-seafood meals really enjoyed the chicken and burgers. I recommend this as a greatcasual seafood restaurant. Read more
For appetizer we had the fried mushrooms, they lacked flavor so we added salt and pepper and they improved. Our entrees were ok.... I ordered the special sea bass dish and it was decent. It was a whole fish so it was a lot of work and had to watch out forbones. The grits and asparagus were fine. My husband had the mahi-mahi blackened. It was very dry. He had to use remoulade sauceto eat it. The hush puppies and my Whitney's down town punch drink was very good. The server was very nice. Read more
