After reading other reviews the bar was set pretty high. This was our first time there, passing through heading to TX. The... burger was pretty dry and made me wonder if it was frozen patty? Fun atmosphere. Very close to the hotel I was staying in. The burgers are BIG!! Gotta try the fried pickles. Wait can be a... little on the long side but expected in a small town like hope. Man... where to start... so, I usually give 4 stars to places I really like, but this one gets 5 stars for sure! From the... friendly staff, to the cool decor to the amazing food, I have no complaints. I was in Murfreesboro and made the almost hourdrive in to try this place and was NOT disappointed! They have a pretty diverse selection of different burgers and sandwichesand I will personally couch for the Club sandwich and fries! Every bite was just delicious and as much as you might think that'sa pretty simple order, you'd be surprised at how often places make it a mediocre meal. Not so at Tailgaters! This is the locals spot for sure! They were very busy when we arrived and seemed a bit scattered. We ordered the fried pickles,... classic hamburger, mushroom Swiss burger, and chicken wraps. The burgers were pretty good. They were lacking pickles, mustard orketchup which was confusing a little. Just mayo, onion and lettuce. The mushroom swiss was the best of what we ordered. Grilledonions and fresh grilled mushrooms! The chicken wrap was just so so, lacking the volume of chicken expected and it was sort ofdry. Stick to the specialty burgers here. Seems like that is their jam. The tots were hot and perfectly prepared. The friedpickles were tasty with rich ranch for dipping, just the portion seemed smaller than expected. They no longer serve the friedpies advertised. And that was a shame. But they were really great about setting us up with ice cream instead. The local flavorand sense of community were really great to watch. I think this is a wonderful place to stop in for a burger and tots!! The food is absolutely phenomenal but it pales in comparison to hospitality that the owner and staff showed us. I travel the... USA transporting rescue animals and am constantly in search of local eats. If you are ever in or near Hope, AK, I hope you takethe time to stop in and indulge. The hand cut fries are just like heaven and there is no doubt as to why they have been anaward winner for over a decade! Read more
Probably the best bacon cheeseburger I've ever had. I swapped out the provolone for pepper jack as I'm a huge fan of pepper jack... cheese. The sweet potato fries were cooked perfectly, Not too crunchy, Not too soft and the powdered sugar wasn't overwhelming.My friend had the mushroom Swiss burger with onion rings and also commented about how good it was. if you're driving throughHope Arkansas or haven't tried this place, I highly recommend it. The food here is amazing but it is also a very cool place to eat. Very interesting decor. Some of the seats are actually truck... tailgates. I highly recommend this restaurant. Read more
