Came in and we where greeted and seated promptly. The atmosphere wasn't blaring, it was nice to be able to have a conversation.... After we where sat things just went down hill. One lady told us twice she was NOT our server.... gee, thanks? Way to be a teamplayer? We where ready to order, why aren't you helping out what looks like the one waitress in the entire place? The waitresseventually showed up and was awkward at best. Food: I got the hot chicken sandwich. I could barely taste any hot sauce. I don'tknow if it was the pickles, or the sauce, but it was so incredibly runny it was POURING out of my sandwich onto my plate.Additionally, my fries where incredibly dark, and incredibly mushy at the same time. Either the oil is too hot, so they looklike they're done long before the middle finishes cooking and/or they don't change out their fry oil often enough. Given theodd staff, and bad quality of over priced food, we would never stop here again. Edit: As I can see from the other reviews, thisis normal, and I shouldn't trust my partner to pick restaurants in the future. The service here is absolutely excellent, but my party all agreed that the food itself wasn't a comparable... experience—especially for the price. I don't think this is a bad restaurant, however, and my understanding is that their menurotates quite regularly. Did we just get unlucky, was it bad timing, or was our experience the norm for Thirty Bales? I'm notwilling to make that determination for anyone else. We've been coming here the past couple of years. My BIL and Son are both disabled. My son won't go inside a restaurant due to... sensory issues. We stumbled upon this Thirty Bale's back patio. My BIL can have a beer and a burger, my son likes the quiet backthere so my hubby and I can actually eat a meal and have an adult beverage. The management and staff could not be moreaccommodating and kind. My hubby loves the burgers and fires, I think the cauliflower tacos are phenomenal! The shells are housemade out of wild rice, the cauliflower is cooked and seasoned perfectly and the salsa is stupendous. We love this place andtheir really awesomely cool staff! Read more
Super slow service, the beat salad is super gross…they basically flavored the beets like cucumber. You have to ask for... refills, I watched at least 10 tables wait 30 minutes for their check after food/drink was finished and it took 25 minutes toget a coffee after sitting down. Buh Read more
Really great atmosphere and awesome selection of hand crafted meals. Loved seeing lots of unique options that I couldn’t get... elsewhere. And the staff was excellent. Would definitely recommend trying this for a night out on the town! Read more
Stopped in for lunch. Excellent menu diversity and atmosphere. I had the green chicken curry and wasn’t disappointed. The... service was excellent and I will be returning. The only suggestion I have would be try not to sit near the kitchen because theradio is so loud it takes away from the overhead music which fits the overall vibe. Read more
We really liked Thirty Bales. The food was delicious- I had the Poutine and my wife had the spicy chicken sandwich. Her only... minor suggestion was that the focaccia felt like it was not the best bun choice, but the chicken was fantastic with a reallygood spicy sauce. Our server was prompt, helpful and friendly. The food was absolutely amazing the was such great options we struggled to pick one! The lasagna is the best lasagna I've ever... had and the walleye dish was such a great choice for a cold day! The service was some of the highest quality of service I'veseen in a long time our server was SO attentive and helpful! We enjoyed the entire experience and definitely recommend! Read more
