I love this place. Today was the first time I've been in this place. I wish I had more time to shop and see all of their... products. I was on a hiking trip and unprepared. I did buy a piece of pecan desert. This was very close to a pecan pie fillingbut much better! Man was it delicious! I will definitely go back just for more of this desert. The ribs lookedwonderful. Listen close y'all... THIS PLACE IS AWESOME!!! They have the best smoked meats I have had anywhere around. Lunch specials every... day include drink. And they are special! Today I had a brisket "sammich" with slaw on top. It was incredible! It was the "small"version, but it would have fed a small army!!! Next time the "Jethro" is on my radar! Baked potato salad was my choice of sideand it was absolutely the best I've had in years! Did I mention the meat market??? Oh wow! As a retired chef I wish I had accessto this quality of product on a regular basis. And after talking with a few long standing customers, they assured it it wasconstantly the best! Clampit's Country Kitchen and Meat Market I don't know how it has taken me so long to visit but glad we did. Looking for a... different spot for lunch and went to Clampit's. Prices are awesome and portions were heavy. If you leave hungry, something wrongwith your stomach. Wife had brisket plate, daughter pulled pork and me the sampler. Plates were $8.99 and sampler $12.99 thatincludes 2 sides, bread, and drink. I like bbq sauce to accent the meat not be the star and Clampit's was spot on. Meat stood byitself and lightly seasoned. Moist, flavorful, melt in your mouth real bbq. Ribs were like butter and meat came clean off bonetender. Brisket was juicy yet not fatty with nice bark mixed in. Bbq beans were hardy and had a kick. There was zero room forhomemade dessert but we checked it out. Butcher shop had some great looking meat available too. Staff was extremely friendlyand helpful. If they didn't like their job, they all faked it really well. I have spent more money for lower quality food thantoday's meal. Only thing missing was a nap to top it off.
