Great view ! Good menu selection and beers. Ordered and did have to wait a long time on our order. There were 5 of us and two... tables (2), (5) did receive theirs prior to us. Our server was fairly attentive but not the best. We had the red, white, bluesalads, shrimp tacos, brisket tacos (amazing) ! I’d go back but expect a longer wait. Read more

I am visiting on vacation, and decided to go here. It seemed incredibly nice, and the atmosphere, music, and staff were nice.... The quality of the food however was were it started to dwindle. I felt my chicken was very over cooked, and the vegetables andrice tasted incredibly bland. The baked potato soup also seems like it was pre made, and bought from the grocery store. My foodwas also took quite some time to receive, waiting around 40 minutes. Overall the atmosphere was really nice, however the foodquality not so much. I forgot to take a photo of my food when i received it ???? so its half eaten Read more

Thoroughly enjoyable restaurant with prompt service and a very long list of items on the food menu. Something for every taste.... Add to it the full bar and you would be hard put to be left wanting after dining here. They had live music on the Thursday Iwas there - and I bet this place really rocks on Friday/ Saturday. The portions are huge - so if there are two of you...justsplit an entree. To enjoy the music and still talk to your date, eat upstairs. Read more

Had a wonderful time here. Food was awesome, the waitstaff paid attention to our orders, and the atmosphere in here is amazing.

New Years Eve... Reservations for 2 at 10:15 pm... Made approximately 2 weeks before... Arrived about 10:12 pm... We stood at... the hostesses station for 10 min. Went over to the bar... And after the 3rd time a bartender walked by??... I got loud andstopped the next one to walk by... Explained what was going on... And was told to go stand by the desk and she would come backsoon... So after 10 more min. We went upstairs and was told by yet another bartender to go back downstairs to the hostessesstation and wait... At around 10:55 pm... A hostess showed up and in formed us that the kitchen was closed... We explained thatwe had reservations and Was there on time... So she took us up and seated us... After another 10 min... Waitresses startedcoming by saying that the kitchen was closed and that there was nothing they could do... The Hostess came back and we told herwhat was being said... And she said she would talk to the chef... After another 10 minutes we were able to order... From thehostess, because the waitresses didn't want to take our table... We placed the order.... Prime Rib and Jumbo scallops... Alongwith the sides... She came back and all the sides were out... Except for one... My Lady reordered sides... And around 11:15pm... We were served... None of the sides on my Ladies plate were what she ordered... My plate was unimpressive!... We ate whatwas edible... Paid around $80. For the shorted food and whatever the scallops were supposed to be (not Jumbo)... And gave thehostess over $15. For her efforts... And left... I was a special occasion customer when the Bonfire was above the hotel... Andevery meal was 4&5 Star... What a difference a location change made... No ambiance... No outstanding waitresses... No help fromthe Bartenders... No heat... No waterfront view... (Couldn't see out the window because of the inside glare from the overlybright lights) And the Quality of the Food would have been topped by another restaurant up there by Walmart!.. Read more

We has dinner reservations for 10:15. We waited 20 minutes for a hostess and then was told that the kitchen closed at 10. The... young lady who seated us said she would get our order in and make sure we got our food. I ordered lobster bisque and was toldthey ran out. I got cheesy broccoli and that was good. I ordered jumbo scallops that were far from jumbo. I also ordered squashand au gratin potatoes. I got a mixed veggies and something that was supposed to be risotto. For $32 I got 3 scallops and therest was nasty. The music was to loud. I couldn't even hear my boyfriend above the music. I definitely will never go back orrecommend to anyone. Read more

One of the top best 3 restaurants in the UP and by far the best in Houghton. I have never had a bad meal or left hungry. If you... are seated in the Hayloft you have a great view of town. Live music on weekends on a top notch stage and the owner makes it apoint to make sure you are satisfied with your experience. If you go once you will go back Read more
