To start off the boy that came to the window when I pulled up acted like I was an inconvenience, and that he had better things... to do, when he did get my food and bring it to me at the window, he took my money, crammed, my bag of food in my face whilehanding me my change, felt like he didn?t want to be there, not friendly whatsoever barely said anything didn?t even smile.There was a girl standing at the counter thing that the food is on waiting for people to pick it up, playing with her hairbraiding it and that then got a customer a lid for there food. Never washing her hands in between. Sad sad service for sure.Sure didn?t like feeling like I was an inconvenience for them to help me to get me my food they don?t want a job they shouldn?tbe there. There are plenty of people who would work there, and at least treat customers with respect. Read more
Stopped in hungry, ordered up a burrito, ???? taco and nachos? sounded like they had options and ingredients that I?d like. Once... we got our orders tried to find a table and all were dirty. Sat down and started in - guac, salsa and queso were in solocontainers (not bad), but there was diced, cold pre-cooked chicken on my nacho which was gross? I looked up and saw ALL the meatin clear 2-3 gallon containers, on a shelf all pre-cooked. Disappointing and dirty? won?t go back? ever. Read more
Stop looking for another place to eat and head to the Border Grill in Houghton! Seriously. Everything I have had here has been... phenomenal and the staff is even better! I was blown away by the level of customer service that Silas, Marielle and Meredithuphold! Is it okay to say I am happier after eating at Boarder Grill? I mean, at Ta o Bell you may spend less, but the quality is far... below what you get here. Fresh food is just better. You get a full without feeling bloated and heavy. They staff was superfriendly, offered suggestions, and were knowledgeable about the menu. After eating at Boarder Grill I feel like I made a goodlife choice. Maybe tomorrow I make another. Read more
A very good place to eat, their staff was friendly, helpful, and all around good. Some of their ordering capabilities where down... for maintenance, but the ordering process was still efficient and effective. Clean facilities, very good food, still don't knowwhat their "salsa" was. It looked like cheese but tasted like Campbell's tomato soup. Read more
I have been a fan of the Border Grill since the first location opened in Marquette, MI in the 90s. My go-to meal is the steak... quesadilla. I just love it! The chips were always a favorite too, but Border Grill had to change their chips in the last yeardue to a supplier no longer carrying the original product. The new chips are not as tasty to me but still aren't bad. Theremainder of the menu is still just as good as it was all those years ago. And now, there is a Houghton location too, whichmeans I no longer have to wait to drive through Negaunee or Marquette to enjoy one of my favorite UP eateries. We never heard of Border Grill until we spent a night in Houghton. We were very impressed with their service and menu selection.... We found it to be the Chipotle of the Keweenaw peninsula and so much better. The inside looks like a good sit down place makingit nicer to be in than any Qdoba or Chipotle I've been in. Our family of seven ordered the Build A Bowl Pack and a salad. Verydelicious and satisfying. We just wish a Border Grill existed in Minnesota. Read more
Hockey team visiting needed set up dinner for 25 and the staff at Border Grill were very helpful in getting the order organized... and then delivered to the hotel.
