We were so disappointed our last visit after eating here for 17 years. Despite being the only customers and several wait staff... around that clearly saw us, we weren't welcomed or served for 5-10 minutes. The ranch and bread with the salad weren't the same.They substituted frozen fries for their famous hand cut fries because of supply issues. My husband ordered the deep fried codspecial and the fish was cold and completely flavorless. They've substituted cloth napkins with paper. It just seems they aretrying to cut corners in multiple places and the customer is not the most important. Spinach salad was still delicious. Read more
I've been here multiple times. I liked the food I got which was the chicken hogie. Decorations of all the animals should go... since it ruins my experience there. Other than that the place is good, I like that the lights are dimmed and not so bright.Sometimes the servers are slow to attend to you though. Read more
Pilgrim River has always been one of the best dining restaurants in the Keweenaw. Parking is more than adequate but it was a... little strange for a friday night to walk in to an open door, no hostess and a sign to seat yourself. Service was very good.Food was very good but the steaks could have used some seasoning. Prices were high but what isn't anymore. I would go back andrecommend to friends. Read more

I was very impressed with this hidden gem! They opened the back room.for our large group without hesitation. Our server was on... top of everything. We never had to ask for refills or extra anything. He was pleasant to chat with as well. Our food was also sogood and cooked perfectly. We have already talked about stopping again next time we are in the area. Excellent food and service. ? The t-bone steak, fries, salad, cream of potato (w/bacon and jalapeno) soup, and bread were all... very good. ? My wife's almond trout was very good. ? Service by Mackenzie was extraordinarily prompt and very good (I read pastreviews, if service was an issue, they have turned it around). ? Meal came very timely, overall we were not there more than 1.5hrs. ? I'd only suggest Signature portion of menu is pricey (some meals are double of same goid quality down state), but notgoing to pull a star due to it, as we enjoyed ourselves just fine! Read more
Pilgrim Steakhouse was a terrific time and I would recommend it to anybody passing through Houghton. I?d describe the dress code... as casual - after coming out of an Isle Royal backpacking trip and endeavoring to put on collared shirts, it was really notnecessary. Our waiter, Billy, was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and just a light in the room. I ordered the prime rib, mycompanion had the NY strip. My prime rib was fantastic, and I would recommend it above all other dishes. My companion wasjealous of me because it was as so good! If you?re getting off the trail, make this a stop! Read more
