The decor and atmosphere are beautifully designed. There is upper and lower level seating with huge windows that fill both... spaces with natural sunlight. The servers were all friendly and accommodating. The menu was subpar. Maybe pretty decent for UPstandards. The burger was wimpy compared to the size of the bun. I think they are putting a solid effort into creating nicedishes with what?s available. They have some unique specials that probably outshine their standard menu.. I have 4 stars for theservice and atmosphere, but would give 3 stars for the food. Read more
I had a pretty good time here, I ordered a special and it was pretty good, but it wasn?t spectacular. I say that because I... assume they want to know how to make this a five star instead of a four star. The drink that I ordered, called the Siren call,was one of the best drinks I have ever had. I think that they could get less complicated with the dinner specials, I think thatit would be more memorable if they kept it simple. However, this is a great place to take a first date. We were glad to find the ?Den?. The scallops were fantastic. We went back two days later and I enjoyed the Nordic chicken... which was a new menu item. I loved it. Highly recommend this place for a good meal. Read more
The Den is beautiful, interesting, and familiar all at once. We were only in for drinks but the chef made time to come out and... make personalized and passionate recommendations (all from high quality local spirits). The entire staff is dedicated toquality food, drinks, and service which is evident upon walking in. If you want a romantic or celebratory meal anywhere in theUP area, get here.
