I paid 50 dollars for a private room for a birthday party. They crowded the room I paid for with other customers who enjoyed our... party they were not invited to. I was quoted prices for the buffet but when we got there the price was way higher thenquoted..we asked for roscotta and was given white wine..after everything going wrong I just took the wine and did not sayanything..how is all these mistakes possible??? Great atmosphere..too quiet for the amazing quality of food. Had the special which was Fish Tacos (awesome and flavorful), and... had the Seafood Gumbo for an appetizer..the Gumbo was a revelation..and I've had plenty of Gumbo locally and in NewOrleans..this one ranks with the best. ..(no small feat)..Very nice and attentive employees....more people need to check outthis gem . Stopped in tonight while i was walking the parade route. This was my first time here and i came in after a friend i saw outside... recommended it. The food was great and the service was as well. I live a couple blocks down the street and i will definitelyreturn for some good food. Read more
A great mix of bar and cafe, well blended for what the space is meant for. Great friendly wait staff makes the meal a pleasant... visit. It makes a difference when your waitress asks you if and how you like the food. As versus somewhere else: 'Here' syour food.... Here's you bill. '. Friendliness takes it a long ways. This place is now added to our go to spots for good food, a great atmosphere, and quick friendly service. The food is very... flavorful as soul food should be. The music was good but not too loud. The ownersMiMi & Charles, provided FIRST CLASS SERVICE & QUALITY FOOD in my time of need. We had Mac & Cheese, Red Beans & Rice, Gumbo, Meatballs, Fried Chicken, Finger Sandwiches, Green Salad, Fruit Tray and they had Tea for us as well. This was just what Ineeded at this time. I'm sure they provide the same for others, but I was FLOORED at the sheer elegance, quality & taste of thefood, excellence of the service & the price. Thank you Jesus... Just what I needed. Great food... Great Godly people...Generous people... Timely in all their efforts...
