Really really disappointed and felt like i was lied to. I bought the crispy duck based on the picture. Did not realize that it... was a fried duck instead of a regular peking duck with the reddish skin like the picture on their menu depict it as. Nice atmosphere and ambiance. If you just want to relax or bring a date. This is a great place. Service is good and the food is... great. Sushi portions are very generous and you can absolutely taste the freshness. There was a ocean party in my mouth. Mannywas a great attentive server. Read more
The atmosphere and staff were very nice. The appetizers (tuna tataki and Vegas dumpling) were absolutely awesome. The place... seems like a very high end sushi restaurant even offering nice cocktails (the Old Fashioned was really good). Unfortunately,that's where the high praise ends. Up to that point I was impressed. But then we got our sushi rolls. They were tasty. I'll givethem that. But they seemed lacking considering everything else. They were very thin, not very artistically made, and poorly puttogether. At high end prices I expect better. Read more
My family and I love going to Akashi. I am mainly writing this review because of two things, the service and the quality of... food. Miss Lana, she is fantastic, she?s knowledgeable, a team leader, and always treats us with excitement and in a timelymanner. The food is always fresh, colors are bright, and flavor is consistent. I do want to add that the few times we?ve beenthere and Lana is not working the service of this place seems affected. I hope the owner sees that and compensates hard workingpeople that keep regulars coming back for great service and food. A restaurant that has a team leader delegating tasks andoverseeing team members has one of the greatest assets that a restaurant has. Read more
Akashi has a nice ambience and the food was plated beautiful! I really enjoyed the eggplant & Houston roll sushi! Catherine was... amazing. Very attentive to the party, offered great recommendations that were spot on and she is one of the major reasons Iwill return again.
