It was surprisingly good. Not quite as good as my favorite, Nippon on Montrose Blvd, but a very solid option much closer to my... house. The service was fast and friendly, which is always nice.\n\nI do wish they had mackerel, fatty tuna, and some poke, butwhat they had was great - including the hot sake ????.\n\nI’ll definitely be back. For a couple years I think this place was being built so it is good to finally come and visit it. Very cool location I think, it... is small and almost hidden in a way. The staff is nice and attentive. Don\'t think we waited too long for food and also thepeople around me didn\'t wait much either for their food. Sushi had a great fresh flavor. Trust me when I say this place is worth it!!! I’ve been trying out MANY sushi restaurants in Houston to find that hidden gem... that offers not only quality but value at the same time. And Akiko delivered!!\nEverything we eat was delicious and for theprice, you can’t really find any better deal (at least not in Houston). Highly recommend the crab ragoon, salmon belly nigiriand their special nigiri pieces with scallop and foie gras!! The matche cream brûlée is also top notch!!\n\nDefinitely my favplace for sushi from now on!! Keep up the good works! Read more

Delicious rolls, large menu, great ambiance. Service was friendly and for a full service restaurant, the wait was not long. We... had the sushi boat (fun presentation) and sashimi. Don\'t let the location next to JC Penny\'s confuse you, in fact it meanslots of parking. We will definitely add this restaurant to our regular local mix. Read more
