Went here to order some sandwiches for lunch to bring home, when I ordered the BBQ pork sandwich the guy behind the counter said... he was out, and that the rest of my order would take 20 minutes. Fair enough, he's out of ingredients and the only person in theshop, so I tell him to go ahead. Well it turns out there were two other people in the back who came out later to help, and alady who came in while I was waiting ordered a BBQ pork sandwich, no problem. I don't know if someone was trying to duck work orif he just didn't like me, but I won't be going back so they don't have to worry. There's better banh mi out there anyway - nota lot of filling, the combo in particular feels like it's mostly bread. Read more

Hole in the wall kinda place, with dark gloomy seating in the back. There are a couple of seat by the front window, where I sat,... with a narrow bar like table. I ordered a shrimp and pork vermicelli bowl. The food was served in a plastic container with aplastic fork. It tasted ok, but nothing to come back for. There are far better Vietnamese food options in Houston. Plus a radiostation with ads was blaring. Not my kind of place, even though the service was friendly, and the prices on the low end. The food and drink were beyond my expectations. The store is clean. The new management did make some changes on the menu as well... as the design of the store, more open and welcoming! Support small business everyone!! They do make from scratch for all theorders so it does take a bit time to prepare but as long as the food is fresh and yummy, I definitely will pass the words andcome back to support them more. I never take the time to write a review but I hope this review is read by owners so they can improve their food. gave this... place a chance because of the 4.5+ Stars but I was so disappointed with how long it took to receive TWO grilled chicken Banh Mion what seemed like a slow day for them and when we got the food? 3 pieces of cooked (not even grilled) chicken in eachsandwich. Edit: hands down? worst Banh Mi I?ve ever had. Read more

When I walk into a restaurant or establishment, I think, I can?t wait to leave a great review. When I walked in, no one else was... in the restaurant. With the cashier?s advice, I ordered the pork broken rice with a runny egg. I also ordered a Vietnamese icedcoffee. People came and went consistently. Other orders were placed and received. I waited 37 minutes on one singular order. Thepork was no longer steaming hot. It was lukewarm at best. It?s extremely disappointing. The couple who came after me, orderedmultiple items received all of it and I was never even talked to. I turned around to ask and I was abruptly told that my orderafter 37 minutes was being bagged. I changed my order to to-go when around 20 minutes that I wasn?t going to get food at areasonable time. ???????? Read more

Depends on your taste. Not a fan of the vegetarian however the lemongrass beef is good. Teas could maybe be a bit sweeter and a... tad bit more diluted but that's my opinion and we all have one. Still a great place for a quick bite and fresh tea Read more

The lemon grass banh mi was delicious and so was the passion fruit green tea! The food did take a while to prepare so take that... into consideration if stopping by for a quick lunch. Read more

B&T Cafe is a small Vietnamese restaurant offering banh mi, broken rice dishes, pho, and other Vietnamese dishes along with a... variety of beverages like boba milk teas and smoothies at a reasonable price. The restaurant is lodged between a washateria andsalon, behind the tacos tierra calientes food truck. Parking can be tough since the lot does not have a lot of parking, butthere is some street parking in the neighborhood behind it. The interior is simple and clean. The owners are always welcomingand fast. There's a small bar in the front to sit at and a few tables in the back for dining in. We have had the bbq pork, chicken lemongrass, and tofu banh mi along with the fries, vietnamese green milk tea, and house milk tea with boba. Every banhmi always comes with a good ratio of vegetables and protein inside between the crispy and soft baguettes. The bbq pork was juicyand the sauce was delicious, though I wish there was more sauce to fill every bite. The chicken lemongrass was juicy andbursting with flavor as well. The tofu was just OK. All the banh mi were filling. The fries were served hot, and they are tossedin salt and sugar which gives an interesting sweet/salty flavor which I personally really liked. Be warned that these friesdon't travel well when ordering to go though - they get soggy pretty quick- but when dining in they are fantastic. The milk teaand boba is amazing and probably our most favorite thing from here! The portion size is pretty big, the milk tea is deliciousand creamy (heavier on the milk side rather than tea), and the boba is soft and flavorful. The vietnamese green milk tea wasalso delicous, though the green tea flavor overtook the "vietnamese milk tea" flavor I'm accustomed to. Overall the food isdelicious, the drinks are phenomenal, and prices are very reasonable. Make sure to give this place a try! Read more
