The actual taste of the food was great! I didn't like the fact that they had precut meats and the hostess put several different... meats to start us off on the grill. The issue with this is that different meats cook at different times. There was also nooiling or replacing the cooking plate. I did like the privacy doors. They also offer a free desert if you show them yourreview that you left them. I don't care for restaurants offering food items for reviews. Read more
The food and service was great. Right from the get-go we fell in love with the dumplings. The marinated short rib was delicious... and will have us coming back for more. It looks like a hole in the wall from the outside, so you'll have to keep an eye out forthe sign, but you will be so happy you stopped in. Read more
We were in the area ?so we decided to see online a good KOREN BBQ ..this place was 4.4 ?let me tell you why?it deserves more... then 4.4 ?This place was GREAT!!! The service was on point ..food was delightful?Ofcourse we did not know a few of the dishesthat were served to us ..she was very willing to name & put into details of what it was ..each dish we asked about ?they havedefinitely gained a customer . This place has some of the best kbbq! It's one of the very few places that uses real charcoal and it makes a big difference in... flavor. The kimchi here is also good and well balanced and it doesn't taste super fermented. Oh and the Sikhye here is alsoreally good! Read more
Really glad I found this place, and also really close to the airbnb we stayed at. I was really excited to have Korean BBQ over... charcoal like I would in Korea, and this did not disappoint. The staff was extra nice and helpful, offered a refresh on sides,kept an eye on us even though I knew what I was doing, haha. The marinated galbi was spectacular, and the pork belly(Samgyeopsal) was incredible. 5/5 for service, food, experience, and will definitely come back. Thank you! Read more
The service was good here, the food not so much. We ordered short ribs and Japchae. Both were not satisfactory. The ribs had... almost no meat on them and the japchae was full of cabbage. The side dishes weren?t fresh here either. The highlight of thedinner was the delicious rice desert drink. Very disappointing as I love Korean food. Read more
Family wanted to try this Korean restaurant. We came early (after 11am on Sun) and seated in a private room with a grill in the... middle of the table. Upon observation, definitely a hole in the wall restaurant. The table and chairs were indeed a need ofreplacements. They were sticky and gross...prob from years of grilling. Anyway we ordered the following items from themenu: Seafood pancake - the outside was crispy and there were small pieces of squid and shrimp maybe scallops in the thinpancake. Dipped it in a sweet jalapeno garlic soy sauce provided on the table which brought out the flavor of the pancake; Irecommend ordering Fried dumpling - entire dumpling was fried and the filling was a little dry to eat. I had to have sauce toeat with it. I think they over cooked as the outside was a bit chewy Jokbal - it is a pork dish (pork trotter or pig feet)cooked in a soy sauce and spice broth. It was a subtle dish which comes with 2 sauces on the side (one salty and one sweet). Ifyou like gelatinous pork skin then this is for you. For me there wasn't much flavor without dipping into the sauce Friedchicken wings - crispy and sweet soy glaze on the outside, moist and juicy on the inside. Decent size wings. Definitelyrecommend this! K army stew - disappointed with this dish, it had processed meat i.e. hot dog and bologna like meat withkimchi, bean sprouts and dry instant noodles. The broth lacked flavor and I thought this stew would have spam and beans but noit doesn't. It came with 2 small bowls of rice so we divided up with the 4 of us The meals came with 6 or 7 types of banchan(small little side dishes such as kimchi, marinated cucumber, pickled diakon, etc). At the end the waitress brought us sweet andcold rice tea. As a note if you need to call the waitstaff you need to press the button on the back wall since we were sittingin a private room.
