Stayed in the Hyatt right down the road for my first time in Houston and decided to walk here to try it out. The food was... DELICIOUS! I had the grilled beef medallions and they were cooked to perfection. The mashed potatoes? Phenomenal. My sister hadthe pasta poretti and the tiramisu- loved both! If I ever find myself in Houston again, I’ll definitely be back. Read more

We dined here on a Friday night while staying in downtown Houston. When we first arrived the restaurant was bustling and I... thought we would definitely have a long wait before being seated, but that was not the case. The staff was able to seat usquickly and within 20 minutes of being the entire restaurant had cleared out. We learned people like to dine here before showsacross the street and we just happened to come in right as the show was starting. The theme of the this restaurant plays intothe theater puns. I really enjoyed the Tequila Mocking Bird. I ordered the fettuccine alfredo with chicken, my partner orderedthe filet with fettuccine, and our friend ordered the grilled chicken alfredo. Apparently we were all in the mood forfettuccine. I am a big fan of home made alfredo and was slightly disappointed by their sauce. I can’t say for certain, but Ido not believe this sauce is made from scratch. Otherwise, the staff was friendly and attentive. The food was fair for theprice. Overall, I wouldn’t mind eating here again. Read more

Pasta primavera is bland. Shrimp is under cooked. Came here for a dinner during Opera intermission. The waitstaff doesn’t come... to check on you, the service was very underwhelming. This was surprising as there was only a few tables being seated. This isdefinitely not a premium Italian restaurant. My unsolicited advice…go somewhere else before and during the Opera. As this wasa huge disappointment. I was just a table of one and they couldn’t get this right. Read more

This is not pizza margherita...was tasteless and our waiter, who was a little on the pompous/crass side, informed me that in... Texas, it's not served with tomato sauce...I googled other restaurants, and yes it is. Giving it at least one star, because thefood runner was pleasant. Other diner at table had chicken pesto pizza, that was supposed to have goat cheese...it didn't andwas very bland. Other diner had spaghetti and meatballs, and this was decent. Service was only attentive at check time. Read more

We enjoy this restaurant. The food tasted really good. I had a Fetuccini Alfredo with Shrimp and it was delisious. The sauce was... creamy and tasty. It had a good amount of shrimp. We also tried a pasta with a cheesy sauce. It was very creamy and tasty. Thechicken was tender and savory. The service was pretty good and fast. Read more

It's been several years since I've been here and tonight I was nearby and hungry. There was live music as I entered the door,... also no greeter. I walk up to two gentlemen sitting at the host table and instead of them asking me "How many?" I have to ask ifI stumbled into a private event. They tell me no and I have to say that I would like to eat here before either one moves to seatus. The rest of the staff was great! Live music was a fun twist and the food was delicious! Read more

This place was an absolute delight!! Went there for a date night. The food was amazing. They had a lounge singer, who in my... opinion was quite cheesy ???? but very entertaining. And sang some great songs as well. The decor is very old school Italianupscale. I absolutely loved it. Read more
