Pulling in not busy, waited on pretty on quick once we walked. Nice and clean, cool environment feels like somewhere else than... home town. I would say Montana Oregon Washington Colorado. Newspaper menu is something to get use too. Young lady that seated uswas very nice and explained the menu really well even though I new what I wanted from a picture I saw in a review. But they wereout of steak so I got the Tri-Tip and eggs. I?m more use to a fool colored menu of big pictures of the food with bold text. Theyhad to make coffee didn?t have it already made. While waiting on coffee asked for water for my mom and I that never came. Gotcoffee but no silverware to stir the creamer and sweetener. Food was really good. Left off two stars because of not havingsilverware right away, my mom tried to go find it but no luck. When she got back she noticed someone behind us go and get theirown and asked for water while waiting a bit for coffee. Nice to not charge for coffee for first time customers. One finalthought, I would think a steak knife would have came with the meal. Stupid me didn?t bother to ask for one so I cut it with mybutter knife, which was a little tough to do at times. Tried the Cypress location for lunch this time. My companions ordered breakfast dishes and I decided to have a sandwich. i had... the chicken avocado club minus the bacon with sweet potato fries without seasoning and it was crispy and perfect. It was a hugeportion I can't believe I ate it all.Highly recommend this place, we ordered a bread pudding to go, enough for two to sharewhile watching Netflix. Delicious and good service! Love the atmosphere and bear decor! We felt like we were on vacation eating here! It reminds me of... Colorado! I had perfectly cooked salmon on s bed of sautéed spinach and tomatoes with delicious homemade mashed potatoes andgreen beans with bacon. They were outstanding! My friend had a BLT without the tomato and a good-size house salad. She said itwas delicious. I will definitely go back. Its new! Try it out!! I highly recommend it! Reasonable. Food is really good, tasty and there is something for different tastes. I ordered the veggie burger and it was really good! My... husband ordered a cheese burger that was also very good, good size and full of flavor. However the service... not so much! First time at a black bear diner (3-3-22) at the cypress location. Place had a many people there but not over crowded and we got... a table right away. The menu is a lot to take in and it all sounds really good. I had the Shasta Scramble , grits and hugebiscuit. Also got coffee and orange juice. The orange juice is made fresh on site and very good. The Shasta Scramble had veryfresh veggies and the eggs were perfect. The coffee was decent but ( I'm very picky about my coffee so not their issue). Thegrits were good, maybe a little salty for my personal preference but still good. My daughter had the same but with hash browns.We were both impressed with the food. Both the service and the food was great. Our server, Zadi was attentive and quick. The portions were generous and the flavor was... really good. Lots of house made menu items apposed to foods from a package that were warmed up. We enjoyed the atmosphere whichconsists of all kinds of bears doing bear things. We will definitely be back.
