I found this place on Google after watching a food show about the food from Belize. My wife and I went today and it was... AWESOME! We started with a meat pie, then Salvutes, and last split the oxtail. All tasted so original and delicious! Servicewas great and the owner came and talked with us about the food and Belize. Absolutely amazing, down to the last fishbone. Excellent service, excellent food, timely and attentive. This restaurant is more... than a restaurant, its a community spread out all over the States and the owners even reach out to help communities in Belize bymeans of donating proceeds! The owner visited with us on our first visit and was superinformative!\nFor our starters we tried their Conch Fritter and Ducunu. The Ducunu are sweet corn tamales that are wrapped incorn husks. They bring it out with their Stew Gravy to dip it in, which adds a savory heat to the tamale.\nMy friend tried theirPork tamale. The tamales are wrapped in banana leaves! If you\'ve never tried a Banana leaf wrapped tamale, it is more thanworth trying. The flavor is sweet and moist. The meat inside is cooked perfectly with a bit of heat in the spices.\nFor dinner Itried their Chimole.it was incredible. Hot and savory. The broth is amazing in flavor and spice. It\'s smokey and peppery. Thechicken in it falls straight off the bone, too.\nMy wife tried their Ox Tail which was wonderful. The flavor was on point. The food here was delicious and reminded us of authentic Belizean food as we just went to Belize 2 months ago. Had oxtail and... stew chicken and both were moist and cake with delicious rice and beans and plantains. Will be back again anytime we want ataste of Belize again! Read more
This is a great place grab a bite. My wife and I came for dinner and enjoyed everything. We specifically liked the Salbutes and... the Tamales for an appetizer. My wife ordered the stew chicken and it was amazing. I ordered the oxtails and they were deliciousas well. Will definitely come back! Read more
