First time here, portion size was good for 3 people if you order the bigger more shareable size.. salsa was good, chips were... warm. However the meats in my opinion needed a little bit more flavor, or seasoning. It was very bland. The char on the meatswere perfect. Service however could?ve been improved, server never came to check in on or nor refilled our drinks which we endedup having to ask another server to refill our drinks. Great isn't A good enough word to describe this restaurant. Nor the word perfect. Very authentic food such zest. Even the coke... taste just like heaven. I actually wanted to try this place for years. And boy it was worth every bit of it. And as long as thecustomer service is this good and the food too. I will forever come back. Its worth it. Just order to go elsewhere. Me and my bf ordered burritos. I got veggie, which my order was right. My bf got chicken and beef... burrito. But instead they gave him to little taco tortillas with beef in one and chicken in one. He was supposed to have aburrito with both in it, as big as mine. Wasn?t worth the price. Read more

We gave Escalante's a try. What held us back was their pricing. We shared the lunch special fajita combo, $19.00, for another... 2 dollars you can get some good guacamole, the fajitas were on the small side and lacked flavor, a nice touch was the meltedbutter. We shared a side ground beef enchilada, we've never paid 7 dollars for one before and an average one at that. Read more
I went here twice since I?ve been in Houston. The drinks are great the food was very good. I really liked the guacamole. The... chips and salsa were both fresh and filling. I highly recommend this restaurant. It is a little on the pricier side, but we?llworth it in my opinion. I had the street tacos and added some salsa it was delicious. Read more
It was my first time in this chain of restaurants. It was fine, my chicken fajita salad was pretty good even being so finely... chopped. We asked for hot sauce but it never came, I think the waitress was newer, no big deal, just weird that a Tex-mex placedidn?t have that out in every table. Not some place I?d rush to go back to, but if you?re hungry and are by one it?s not a badchoice. Read more
