I went to Houston for work and after driving for almost 6 hours we were famished, this small restaurant is located by our hotel... and decided to try it, it was delicious ???? i tried tacos of cochinita pibil they were awesome, green chicken enchiladas theyhad plenty chicken and my husband had a steak. Ok, lets start with the chips and salsa. Chips were average, the hot sauce was average and not much heat. I ordered the beef &... cheese quesadillas, they were out. I ended up getting 5 beef tacos. The tacos were average, chewy and lacked flavor. My wifewanted a bowl of pozole, it was average as well, not a very big bowl for the price point and it was bland. Now for the upside. i was craving pozole and ordered just that. i wanted the red one but their pozole verde was excellent and they left the spicy... dry pepper on the side so i was able to enjoy my mild pozole and keep all my senses for the rest of the day lol it was a littleexpensive for a bowl of soup ($14) but it was hearty and delicious, once in while, I'm ok with it. had tres leches for dessert,i think it needed more time to drench all the milk because the cake part was too solid. overall a very good experience with whatlooks like an authentic Mexican restaurant. radio was blasting, souvenirs everywhere, they spoke little English but still greetyou well, it was great! This is a family owned traditional authentic Mexican restaurant. The owners take great pride in their food and culture. We went... for breakfast a couple of times and liked it. Order the Cafe de Olla it is really good. We also like the Desayuno Mexicano. Read more
