Been coming here for a couple years now and the food is always delightful and the workers are so nice. All of the food is... delicious so I encourage you to try the whole menu! The woman who works the front counter is always friendly and hospitable. Feels like home every time I come here. Food always hot... and fresh and ready quickly. My bf put me on to Fyzas Alwadi years ago and I have been hooked ever since. Its super convenient (6 minutes from my home) and... the food is always good. I always get the Beef Gyro with Rice....and the rice...lord...it's so good. I mix in the tahini and Iget extra Olives. It's delightful. Seriously. Also, the staff is always nice when we go. You see, God only knows how my gyros I've had , Ive even had them in Greece. I've had them in NY,NJ,FL,CA,NC,and obviously here... in TX... NOTHING beats the ones in Greece. Followup was a place called MR. Greek in plainsboro NJ that is no longer there. Andnow is this place....by far the best gyro I've had in TX. SIMPLY PUT ITS GREAT! Read more
Solid little Mediterranean grill. Perfect for lunch. I ordered a lamb shawarma meal with fries and two pieces of baklava. Came... to a little over $20. Felt it was a little pricey at first, but the portions are large, so it's a good value. The lamb shawarmawas tasty. Good flavor all around. Veggies were cooked well. Only issue is the lamb was chewy compared to what I've experiencedat other Mediterranean grills. Little disappointing. The fries were odd. It looks as if there were two different types offries. If you look at my picture, there are krinkle fries and straight cut fries. Not sure why. The krinkle fries were reallygood, the straight cut not so much. The baklava was delicious. This review is based solely on my experience and personal opinion. I went to the Alhadi restaurant on a Wednesday, 9.29.21... (Lunch time). FOOD: We ordered two Chicken Shawerma, two Beef Shawerma, one gyro sandwich and one Falafel platter and BabaGhanoush..... here is what I think... FLAFEL PLATTER= good falafels but not the Traditional recipe (they had NO Parsley inside).they were crunchy outside and soft inside. it came with a mix of Pickles, raw white onions, fresh tomatoes, Hummus andrice. Hummus wasn't really good, it did not have a balanced flavor. The Tahini paste in the mix was actually the main flavor.Rice was mushy and very greasy (alot of butter or/oil). so, not really pleasant. Garlic sauce was good, I liked it. Tahinisauce was good too, very strong flavor. Tzatziki sauce was not good. BABA GANUSH= I liked it, but yet again, too much Tahinisauce in it. Pita bread was overall nice. CHICKEN SHAWERMA= good flavor and well cooked. the sandwich mix was well balanced.Rice was mushy and very greasy (alot of butter or/oil). so, not really pleasant.
