Delicious! The smell alone was worth the visit! We had two chopped beef sandwiches, one sausage sandwich, and a brisket plate... plus some sides including a tasty sweet potato kale dish. Great beers on tap and a nice selection of sweets. It also has a lotof grocery type items to buy (including a nice beer selection for pick 6). Cute gifts as well. MONDAY NIGHT I REPEAT MONDAY NIGHT! Monday night is the time to go :) their steak is comparable to any nice steakhouse in... town. Ordered the 20 oz. Ribeye which had a nice herb sear and was cooked perfectly to medium rare as requested. The garlicmashed potatoes paired nicely with the sautéed spinach. The Chipotle cream sauce for the steak was not needed but it wasdelicious as well. As for the BBQ we ordered the brisket dinner and a side of ribs. Amazing staff and the food is great! I got a brisket with Mac & cheese and a beer and it was definitely worth it.
Earned some favor with the charm, but it fell short on execution. This old timey feeling corner store has charm and looks like... the perfect neighborhood hidden gem. I was in the area and had heard about it, so stopped in for a quick lunch. Service was fastand friendly. I ate a baked potato with brisket, which unfortunately was dry and had next to no bark or evidence of muchseasoning. There was a modest smoke flavor but that was about it. I was disappointed in the brisket, especially based on theirdescription and price. I did hear about their breakfast tacos, so I intend to come back and give them another shot forbreakfast and coffee. Stopped by for an afternoon snack, and enjoyed shopping the wide variety of specialty and gourmet foods from regional makers.... The Migaloo dark chocolate with orange, made in Cypress TX, was especially yummy! So happy to be introduced to this place andwill definitely visit again to enjoy their bbq. It smelled heavenly!
