Not a kid friendly environment! Butcher made a rude comment about kids as I approached the meat department. Cashiers are non... friendly, they do not greet you, especially Daniela (looking at me up and down) The staff lacks customer service. I used to comehere alot but these new management staff makes me uncomfortable, very unpolite service overall. Read more

"Las Cajeras Especialmente Daniela Sé Te Quedan Viendo Muy Feo Con Cara De Amargada Especialmente Cuando Entras Con... Niños...Muy Mal Servicio Al Cliente Hace A Uno Sentirse Incomodo Con Sus Hijos Por Ir A Una "Tienda" ????La Compania DeberiaBuscar Empleadas Qué Realmente Lés Guste Trabajar En Servicio Al Cliente" This Is Not The Location I Usually Come To But MyFamily And I Went Last Weekend As Soon As We Came I Noticed The Cashiers Were Giving Us Dirty Looks Of Disgust. One Of Them InParticular Would Not Keep Her Eye Off My Daughter And Nieces. Mind You The Girls Were Not Grabbing Anything They Were JustTalking With Each Other And Helping Me w/ A Basket. I Thought Nothing Of It And Ignored The Dirty Looks. We Went To The MeatDepartment, My Mom Began Ordering Some Items. I Also Noticed One Of The Carniceros Looked At Us Then Looked At My Neices And MyDaughter And Said To His Co-worker In Spanish, "Mira Ya Llego La Peor Pesadilla De Daniela.." When He Said That He Was LookingSignaling/Directly At The Girls. That Really Took Me Off Guard And I Told Myself Did He Just Say That I Ignored It. I Don'tThink He Realized We Were Together And Maybe Thought We Didn't Speak Spanish Or Understood It. Few Minutes Later The SameCashier Whom Was Looking At Us In Disgust When We Got There Came To The Meat Dept. And Was Walking Around In Our Area Not EvenSaying Excuse Me Giving The Girls An Ugly Look. My Daughters And Nieces Were Good They Were Just Standing There, Walking. I MakeSure My Daughter Is In Good Behavior As Well As My Sister w/ Her Girls. I Realized By Her Nametag That She Is The Same CashierWho The Carnicero Mentioned While Referring To Our Girls, Stating Look, "Daniela's Nightmare Is Here." At This Point I WasSuper Disappointed, I Told My Sister And She Confronted The Carnicero. She Asked Him If There Was a Problem With Kids Being InThe Store He Said No, There Is No Problem Kids Are Welcome Here As Long As They Don't Grab Anything. He Should Have Apologize Read more

I didn't have to wait long to order the meat and it was a smooth and easy process. Everyone I encountered was nice.

Quick fix of Menudo and barbacoa tacos was perfect! They gave me the cilantro/onions/chile/limon already cut up in a bag big... enough for all my food. I had to do was pour on a bowl and eat! The only negative is that when they run out of food they needto communicate with the cashiers. When I got to the food counter, they were out of menudo. Since it was paid for I had to waitfor the next pot to be done... if I had known that I would of buy carnitas instead. Read more

The cooking staff is rude and out of line, they serve with a face of being annoyed. I went to get lunch and some of them tap on... the food glass for me to hurry up. Food is warmed from the previous day, I can tell. The cashiers and managers, even the meatdepartment staff are always nice but some of the cooking ladies are plain rude. Read more

I am new to the Houston area and decided to stop and try this place out to eat. I proceed to order some tacos and then I am... rudely informed that I need to go and pay for the tacos first. I proceed to the only cash register open and wait in line forabout 10 minutes. While in line I observe that half of the people, in front of me, pay with the Lone Star card for theirgroceries and pay cash for beer. I take back my receipt to the food preparer and I wait another 10 minutes to get my food. Thisis a very inefficient process that not only wastes customer?s ?lunch time? but gives the customer the perception that they arenot trusted to eat and pay. I would also like to add that in this location there was a cash register at the section whereemployees prepare food but probably due to poor managing; employees have not been taught to use it. Luckily, I noticed there isa place called La Veracruzana across the street and there people are not required to waste their time prepaying for the tacosbefore they eat. :) Read more
