Great option for pan dulce when you can't go buy at El Bolillo.
Detest places where they don't pick up the phone, and this place doesn't. Have ordered three times through lnstacart and meat... is always out of stock, while fruits and vegetables are overpriced and not that great in terms of quality. This time, Iintended to quickly run by them what meat they had in stock before adding it to cart (for those who think that people shouldvisit instead of calling - really think about that), but couldn't get an answer. The young cashier was rude. We asked to pay using debit, not credit. She messed up by choosing credit and she insisted... adamantly for us to pay with credit when we didn't wanted to pay that way. Was too lazy and rude to go back and fix her mistake. Read more
The last 5 times I've been here, the same person serving the food refused to acknowledge people of non Hispanic descent. I went... there again today and not only did she pretend that we wasn't there, but she walked to the other Hispanic customers and asked ifthey needed anything. Another worker (male) saw it and began to assist us. The original lady then went and talked to the cashierand when we went to pay, we were told that the card machine wasn't working. We just left the food there and left. I took apicture of her while she was preparing food for those who had just came if after us and hopefully something will be done. Read more
Prices are ok average Mexican products that you may not find in another store. Delicious pan dulce pastry, and the meat is good.
I used to shop here several years ago and they always had great meats and I loved the guys behind the meat counter. They were... funny and super accommodating. Again, the meat was always tender and the pre-breaded chicken breasts were superb: wonderfultaste, juicy and at the same time crispy. Not really sure why I stopped going. We had a lady who did our shopping and cookingfor us for awhile, so I may have stopped during that time. In any case, I was thinking about the breasts and decided to phoneand see if they still sold them. Well, the first time I phoned I was left on hold by the cashier for about 15 minutes afterwhich I called back and was then left on hold again. Now, I don't know how long it takes to transfer someone to the meatsection, but "fogitaboutit" :). Will continue to shop elsewhere and if I am in the area may at some point stop by to check themout again. Read more
