Honestly. The food and service use to be really good but over the past 6 months I've been 3 times and truly hoped it'd be great... again but this will be my LAST. I can't tell if they actually want customers or not because they're not friendly at all anymore.I sat at the bar most recently and it was a terrible experience and I'll leave it at that. I've been enjoying Tex Mex food at Los Tios for a long time. (Since they first opened in Meyerland the '70s.) It's always been... good but since the original owners sold it, I've noticed a slight "dialing down" of the spiciness. Everyone is different but Iprefer that this type of cuisine to have stronger flavor without having to add a lot of hot sauce. My biggest complaint is theenchilada gravy. Very bland and too much of it. It would be better to have a chili con carne gravy on cheese enchiladas than thelow flavor gravy they use. That's just me and I know that the locals that frequent this location must be okay with it. This was my very first visit. The food taste and quality was good, but not great. The portion size is mediocre. The alcoholic... beverage is small-martini type glasses, yet the price is up there with the restaurants that give way more. Service was good-ialways tip! My waiter did have to correct my order-he brought something different than what I asked for. Plus during my order,I added to my plate...I don't know how he mixed it up. It might've been the fact he speaks mostly Spanish. But then again, Ipointed at the order as I spoke. Eye contact and all. Not bad, but not a place I'd frequent. Read more

The looks are modest but the food is great. The salsa was one of the best I have had in a while. Chips were fresh. The 1/2 lb... veggie fajita was generously enough for two and the 1/2 lb chicken fajita was enough for 2. The chicken was juicy and flavorful.Will definitely return. Management should look into painting/replacing the ceiling tiles and vent covers. Read more
