First time to have Thanksgiving lunch here and the line to get in was long. Nothing fancy but the turkey and ham plate, typical... and nothing fancy. Helpful staff tried their best on an extremely busy day. Satisfactory experience overall. Read more

Did not know a Luby's still existed! This was every good memory. The food was hot, delicious and there was all the old... varieties! But the twist was, happily, the portion size was more in line now not huge, wasteful. The staff are friendly, notrobotic and best of all - smiles. I hope this restaurant lasts forever and continues to be successful! Next time we visit thisarea we will definitely get a meal here!! Definitely recommend Read more

Honestly better than fast food and prices are better too. Veggies and sides and instead of fries and fattening greasy.

I love this place. Its quick and simple and a better alternative to fast food. Today, however, was the exception. I ordered 1/2... Chopped Angus, 1/2 fish almandine, w/okra and mashed potatoes. So far, so good! As I begin to pay, the cashier, Irma(name on myreceipt), asked the gentleman in front of me (very loudly), if he was leaving ?cash for his server?. The man was clearly annoyedand told the cashier that he already answered that question on the key pad. I was next and thought I surely misread what hadhappened. Unfortunately, it was exactly what I thought. The cashier was tip hustling for the servers? and in a loud, boisterous, kind of way. She even went as far as answering the question on the key pad, for me! When did Luby?s become so aggressive? Thedefinition of a TIP is, gratuity for services rendered. Up to this point, the only servers that did anything, were the prepcooks behind the counter, doling out the food. I carried my own tray of food, got my own drink and found my own table! My serverdidn?t come to my table, until halfway through my meal. Asking if I needed anything, at that point, was ridiculous! As I sat andwatched (eating my over cooked, tuff fish), the same server, shout across the room, ?Thanks for the CASH tip!!!?, to a group ofconstables exiting the building. My bill was $19.25 (for one person having old fish). Nobody should be badgered to prepay a TIPof 25%? 20%? 18%??? Are you kidding!!! TIPS are to ensure prompt, good and friendly service. My suggestion is to weigh youroptions, if you decide to come here. If you?re in a pinch for time and don?t want fast food, go ahead and pop in. Just beprepared to TIP AHEAD OF SERVICE and know you?ll be shamed at the register, if you prefer to leave it at the table, basing thepercentage on the quality of service received. Read more

Square fish, old folks, the Luann platter...what more do you need? As a boy growing up in Texas I always wanted to go to lubys... and when we did it was a treat. Now I take my kids there and they love it too. Prices are good, service is good for what it isand the food is just what you remembered. Read more

Not the best and a little overpriced. Food was cold and dry and the servers were not friendly and it looked like they were just... fed up. Definitely not coming here anymore Read more

The rest rooms are clean a little air freashener would help though as it was hot a humid in there. The line workers were very... nice an attentive. The food was just digestible. It lacked any flavor or seasoning. Broccoli was bland I added salt that helped.Macaroni was flavorless. I chose liver and onions yes I know but I like it well not this one. It had no flavor or seasoning as Ialready stated the only thing that made it ok was the brown gravy which was good. Sweet tea if you wondering is just tea with ahint of sweet. You would think that since you have unsweetened tea you would make the sweet tea actually sweet. Service once Ichose my seat was lacking. I tried to flag down a gentle man who's section I was sitting in for some salt and sugar but hepretended ro not see me on several occasion. I'll assume I must have looked like I don't tip (I tip very well and more than theaverage). They seem to be short handed and I can understand that as people don't want to work for $2.95 hr plus tips (I wouldn'teither).... Anyway if you have a big party this is the place to go they have plenty room but don't come looking for good food orat least if you do throw some Tony chacres in your purse. Read more

I SO MISS LUBY'S! I really don't want to share because then, they'll get all the business and things will change. But let me... share. 1st time at this location. Look like a whole lodge. I had to make sure I was at the right place. Nice atmosphere. Theenvironment is well respected by those that are regulars. The food line .... always filled and clean. The line attendees caterto your request. Well seasoned food items of choice. OH! THE PORTIONS?!?! ???? OM gosh! I was able to make two meals from thatvisit. They are not shy to feeding their guest. There were some petty observations but nothing to discourage this experience. I will travel for good food. I suggest a visit. Read more
