The last time I ordered take out was like a year ago. I had pretty good impression towards Mambo. Their fried rice is tasty with... a large portion. Their stuffed jalapenos are also good. Although the waitress was very friendly and nice yet they were hard tofind when we needed something. The oyster price is $5.25 for three, which is not bad. The amount of food you get with your purchase, is massive. I mean this is probably where I have got the best value of money, in... terms of portion, ever. I think you can?t get a better portion of food for the price, than here. Not only the portion but thetaste isn?t bad too. For some reason they call it ?Mambo rice? but it?s basically a fried rice and taste better than lot ofother Chinese carry-outs. I had the Mambo special which has all meats in it (chk pork and shrimp). I paid extra for making ithabanero style. And like I said it was really good. If I had to guess the weight, the large rice I got was probably 5-10lbs.Yup!! Talking about the fish and 8count jumbo grilled shrimps, they were good as well. Keep in mind it?s oily though. I askedthem to make it Z style which basically includes brushing some special sauce with seasoning which was definitely good. Thereason for 4 stars only: 1) I know the place is old but could be cleaner. 2) It took 25 minutes for my food to get ready, whichis fine but for a place with limited/related food items , it shouldn?t take that long. 3) The grilled shrimp and fish had a lotof oil. I ordered grilled instead of fried, to avoid all the oil. But the grilled actually had more oil. In fact, it wasswimming in oil as you can see in the pictures I attached. I have never eaten here, food has always looked great online large portions.I order the pork fried rice & fish w/fries. Fish was... delicious, but the fried rice..Smh Absolutely no seasoning no taste. Not bad tasting, just no taste. Which is pretty much thesame. It's like they cooked the rice with no salt. Food is always consistent with flavor throughout the years. The only change was the tartar sauce. New recipe, it?s not good. Ask... for tartar sauce in to go packages. I order the veggie rice and side of grilled veggies and salad. We also order the ?Familypack? for the family. Lots of food in the family pack. Always have leftovers. Read more
