My first visit to Merus Grill. Staff was pleasant. Ambiance was nice. Nice menu selection. However, a bit disappointing in my... selection. Crab cakes. I only ate one of the two. It was extremely salty, fishy and I did not are for it at all. It was hardto eat for sure. Had I not been with family members I would have said something. I toughed it all and ate the fries! My family and I visited Merus for my birthday and I was extremely pleased with our experience. The staff is very friendly, the... ambiance is cozy and inviting, there is a fairly extensive wine and beverage list, and everything we ordered was delicious! Weordered appetizers and drinks with our meals and I was pleasantly surprised at the reasonable pricing (as far as find diningrestaurants go). I will definitely be visiting again! Read more
Delicious food. Great prices. Good portion sizes. We dined here for the first time on 11/20 for my birthday dinner. I made an... online reservation for 8:00 pm. We arrived at 7:52 but table wasn’t ready until 8:03. We sat at the bar while we waited. Thebartender gave us popcorn that was really good. I can’t put my finger on the seasonings though. Once sat it took a minute forthe waiter to actually greet us and get our drink orders. The midnight margarita was good. The food arrived fast! We placed ourfood order at 8:30 and it arrived at 8:43 pm. The food was delicious and perfectly seasoned. I ordered the brasserie chickenand my boyfriend ordered the pan roasted salmon. We got a side of the “not your ordinary Mac & cheese”. The broccoli andmashed potatoes were room temperature when delivered to the table so I sent those back and requested them to be heated up. Afterthat, everything was perfect. Customer service could be better. The vibe from the hostesses was not all that welcoming. Ourprimary server seemed a bit distracted. However, his teammates who brought the food to the table, and periodically checked on usmade up for his shortcomings. They do not give a free birthday dessert like some other places. Atmosphere and food were amazing. I can definitely understand why people rant about their prime rib…the coleslaw was amazing.... Sadly, for whatever reason, when we got home with our leftovers, the coleslaw was nowhere to be seen ????. Can’t wait to goagain! Read more
