Reviews for Molina's Cantina in Houston, TX
Good food, not great but acceptable. Terrible service. Told the waitress that this was our daughter's 21st birthday dinner, so... we wanted it to be special. She got our order wrong, so one person's food was 10 minutes later than everyone else's. Wouldn'tclear the table, so we fought a table full of empty plates. Everybody ran out of drinks, so we sat there with empty glasses.Took ten minutes to finally get the check. No excuse, wasn't crowded, just bad service. $30 a person for a crummy experience. Read more
Decent Mexican food. Salsa was OK but not a favorite. There were a few lunch plates still under $10 before tax and tip.
Love this place. However can you please put something next to the plates of what would be spicy? Some days it's hard to eat ir... and some days it's not. And we tried to ask our waitress about it and she gave us a scripted speech then turn around to thecouple next to us and tells them she's knew and doesn't know anything about the food. Come on really. Read more
Service was nice. It was nice and moody lighting like a dungeon. It was hard to read the menu. But once we brought out the... cellphone torches we able to order. I order the borrrrito. It looked like a sloppy Joe but I know it was covered in love. I giveit a 7/10. A bit dry. But again the service was fast and the people were friendly . Read more
They served quite a huge selection of tex-mex food. We had chalupas for take out for dinner and we really like how generous they... are with the veggies. The meat could also be more generous. Overall, the taste is good but prices can be better. Read more

I was looking for a good, affordable Mexican restaurant when I saw this Bellaire Blvd location on Google Maps. Back in the late... 1980s and early 1990s, I dined at the Molina's Cantina on SH 6. The food here is excellent and less expensive than many otherquality restaurants in the area. The complimentary chips are served with three different dips. I ordered the chicken enchiladastopped with a tomatillo sauce. The Spanish rice is light and fluffy. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal, and it didn't break thebank. Now that I have "rediscovered" Molina"s, I will be returning. Read more
I hadn't been to Molina's in over a decade, so ordered my go-to first timer order, cheese enchiladas. They were perfect, if not... filling enough (only 2 enchiladas instead of 3). The green sauce for the chips was also delicious. I'd go back if invited, butthere are better Tex-Mex places in town that I'd pick first. Read more
