We dined in a bit late for the after hours menu and it was totally worth it. Prices weren't too crazy but the generous portions... were so great. The salad could have been two meals and a half plate of well cooked fries made the table very happy. Read more

Delicious food and great service. Food arrived fast and was very good. Pictured is the French Toast with maple syrup instead of... bourbon. Read more

The food was fantastic and prices were what I expected....expensive. It was a birthday treat to myself so I didn't mind. I've... gone by several times while visiting the museum and I've always wanted to try it. The staff were very welcoming and helpful.Loved the decor and the ambiance was nice. I got the grilled red fish over sautéed mushroom and spinach, a glass of Malbec, and a slice of key lime pie. Fresh and delicious! Be aware that on the receipt they advertise an automatic 20% gratuity if youdo not have a room at the hotel. Also, from what I could see there is metered street parking only, or you must valet. I alsowasn't a fan of the dimly lit restroom with a black toilet, but that's just me.???? Read more

Nice ambiance, good appetizers, but the entrees were bad- not flavorful at all. Spinach was way too salty, red fish was bland,... the short ribs were very bland... I only ate my food because I was hungry and it was my first meal of the day. Probably wouldn'tgo back unless they have a good happy hour. The old fashioned was the best thing I had. This was not worth $120 (includingdrinks and tax). Based on quality should have been more like $50 Read more

My sister and I had Saturday brunch about 2 weeks ago and we really enjoyed it. Our server was nice and attentive. My sister... ordered an omelet and I the french toast based on our server's recommendation. My food was reallu delicious. Bread was supersoft. It didn't harden as it got cooler like other bread would. They have a couple of tvs outside and they had the red rivershowdown showing. Ambiance was super nice. It was a chill environment and the greenery gave tropical/jungle vibes. We definitelyenjoyed the weather while having brunch outside. Read more

The best part of our experience was the view of the trees and museum district. The food was no better than ordering similar... items at a chain like Denny’s. The pancakes at Cracker Barrel are actually way better. Something changed here in the lastyear or so. I remember wonderful breakfasts at the ZaZa in 2019. I think the servers were trying but there was not enough helpfor attentive service. People who dress up on a weekend morning and come downtown for brunch probably expect to drink coffeeout of something other than paper cups. Read more

The Monarch is in the hotel which is dim lit with warm lights and live fish. The restaurant has a quiet yet sophisticated... atmosphere. I loved the ambiance. I ate the steak and eggs Benedict but replaced the steak with lox. I had a virgin piñacolada which was sour (I wouldn't recommend). The food is good but pricey considering the meal isn't great. The asparaguslacked seasoning, the potatoes were great, the eggs Benedict should've had the hollandaise sauce - if it did, I didn't taste it.The lox gave the eggs the additional saltiness I needed. Parking is valet. They do parties of 6 or less. They have indoor orpatio seating. The hotel/ restaurant is located next to the museum down the street from Hermann park. If you put Monarchrestaurant in Google it will take you to Dallas. Read more
