The manager can use more manners, I was nice & made conversation to ease stern appearance as he stood ignoring me, he appeared... irritated and ready to go home instead of greeting me with a welcome! I'm nearsighted so I asked him how do they sell thebrisket and he pointed to the menu instead of assisting me. He was snappy & rude. I can hardly wait for him to go and bereplaced by someone who's friendly and will welcome me and assist me. The other staff were cordial & helpful thankfully they'renot following his lead. I ordered chicken, cucumber salad and the macaroni was horrible! Jalapeno cheddar toast was okay. Read more

I ate the whole sandwich but it was overcooked just a tied bit mushy. The rest of the meal was tasty but generic also. Easy to... find this kind of food in Texas anyway price I would say that sucks. Not $15 plate and I paid 25 dollars Read more

Messed up my order, and they weren't even busy. The manager offered me a $20 dollar gift card that will be mailed out but that... doesn't even cover half of what I spent. I would double check your food before you take off. I expected better considering howmuch I paid. Read more

Today's visit was disappointing! My food was lukewarm. I ordered Brisket and ham with Mac and cheese and ranch style beans for... my sides. Food looked good I'm sure if would been good if the food was at the correct temp. Read more

The food here was amazing! The portions size is great! We had a special with Wings and 12 baby back ribs! We ordered a couple of... sides (separately) to go with the food and there was enough to take home. No sauce was needed but the tangy spicy mustard bbqsauce tasted great as a dipping sauce. I will definitely return. Read more

Was looking to eating some good bbq but what I got was instead a complete mess. Every box was more disappointing than the last.... Ordered the Mixed Platter that did not have the white bread that accompanies it. Next disappointment was the actual meat. It wasextremely tough and felt like it had a lot of tendons, gristle. Overall was very tough and hard to eat in addition to being colddue to curbside pickup taking 20 minutes to give me my purchase. The few pieces that were not, were pure fat. Not at all whatI'd expect from a place who's namesake is barbecue. I also ordered cheese fries well done, but received soggy disappointment. Inaddition, it had far less fries than my previous visits. The Chopped Beef fries I ordered also had mostly fat and little to noactual beef. The macaroni & cheese would be ok if it were half the price. Too expensive for what it is. Generic boxed Mac &cheese would probably taste better than what I received. Waste of $45 dollars! Taking my business back to Hungry Farmer againacross the street. Read more

Pappas Bar-B-Q is everything you would expect from a casual Texas BBQ joint, complete with varying chandeliers and a boar?s head... in the wall. I liked the decor and rolling blues music blaring throughout the dining room. The place is cafeteria style dining. And here?s the only issue I had with Pappas. There was no clear communication once my order was placed. The employee simplyyelled it across to the prep area like an order to the troops. Not a bad system?if it works efficiently and effectively. Thisdid not. It took too many times to get my order right. The food was terrific! I got the sliced brisket sandwich on jalepenobread with a side of fries. The brisket was smoked well and tender. Generic, thick cut fries had no seasoning, but were neitherunder nor over cooked. A little pricey for casual BBQ, but you can serve yourself from the condiment bar. That accounts for theexcessive jalapeños on my plate. The amount of food served is plentiful and almost justifies the price. But the quality of thefood, especially the sides and desserts, more than justify the price. Go to Pappas for decent BBQ, a great atmosphere, and anoverall good time. Read more
