The food is good, very very good? however?. They have a huge problem with flies. They literally are everywhere.. I?m not sure... if they are unaware of how unsanitary it is to have an abundance of insects in your establishment. We complained and they saidit?s because the door keeps on opening?. But, how do they expect the customers to get inside? That is not an excuse. If theyare going to have their food out in the open, they has to do better with maintaining the sanitation. Honestly, if it weren?tfor the flies, I would?ve given them five stars. The food and the service is excellent. However, I?m not sure if I will returnbecause I was a little disgusted. Amazing brisket. Reasonable price. The brisket is very fatty and extremely tender. The bark is well developed and perfectly... seasoned. The chefs is clearly a master at work. I don't think the sides are anything special, the sides are not bad though.Expect to pay $40-$45 for a dinner for two. With 2x ¾lb brisket meals with 2 sides for each plate. Read more
Absolutely unacceptable! Tonight we went for dinner and until we got to the register we were informed they were out of pulled... pork for a rib platter. The cashier asked the manager if they could replace the pulled pork for a smaller portion of brisket.She said NO!! So while our food simmered to cold the only solution offered was to spend more money! Pappas BBQ just isn't thesame anymore. Higher prices, less quality service! This location employee turnover alone is just awful. The crew never works asa team and no one knows the order! For the past three times food has been cold. Despite this we tried again. Delicious! I had the brisket sandwich with coleslaw and sweet tea. Best chopped brisket I?ve had in a long time! The brisket was... tender and flavorful. The bun was toasted perfectly, yet still soft. The coleslaw was very good too. The sweet tea could be alittle sweeter, but it was still good. The restaurant was clean and is pretty big with booth seating and regular chair options.There is an outdoor patio with picnic table bench seats and ceiling fans for hot days. The service was good. Line style orderingwith cafeteria trays. Buffet topping bar available with onions, pickles, jalapeños, etc. Multiple barbecue sauces from sweet tosmokey. I use to love coming to this location but lately they quality of the food has been going down. I ordered a mix plater the meat... was cold and I had to go ask for bread witch was hard at the edges. My husband ordered a cheeseburger with no tomato and theystill put it on. I wonder if it would be easier if they just wrote down the order instead of trying to remember everything yousay. Figured I'd try this Pappas thinking it would be better than some of the other locations.. Ordered 1 lb of sliced beef moist... cut, outside cut -- cut was totally dry and cut into small strips. Nothing moist about it. Couldn't even finish it with the bbqsauce. What's even more disappointing is that the drive-thru attendant knew what I meant when I placed the order. Verydisappointed.. Had already left the area when I saw it,, otherwise,, I would have just gotten a refund. Will be sending a noteto the corporate office. Read more
This place is usually a 6 to 8 out of 10 but today it was definitely a miss. We ordered two different sandwiches, a baked potato... and catfish platter and nothing was good the fries weren?t seasoned and they were soggy. The potato was put together very sloppyand there was barely any butter and sour cream. The only good thing was the cheesecake. They also left items out of my order. Read more
I was hungry and wanted something simple to eat so I stop by to get a chopped beef baked potato. The place was pretty busy went... through drive thru didn?t take long. But soon as I started to dig in I noticed the potato was very hard I tried to eat itbecause I was hungry. Then after so many bites I realized I couldn?t eat anymore so I called and ask for a manager after holdingfor more than 5 minutes she came on the phone. She was very professional and understanding. She told me to bring it back I wasso tired but I went back she fixed me a new one herself. And gave me a drink on the house. I will give 5 stars for that reasonalone.
