Smashburger is worth eating. But, having said that, it is basically a McDonald?s burger with an irregular patty which is a... little bigger. Same for the fries. They are indistinguishable from McDonald?s fries, but slightly bigger and maybe slightly lesstasty. The fact that Smashburger uses an ?egg bread? is nice, but not enough to justify the extra price. STIRKE 1. It?s the airport and at airport speed. Budget 20 min at least from start of line to food pickup. STRIKE 2. It?s in... terminal B, so unless you?re flying to Wichita or Lake Charles you have to inter-terminal train. 0-2 pitch CRACK! It?s a homerun! Truffle Swiss mushroom burger with smash fries. First I stood there for like 8 min, the only one in line, and nobody said a word asking if I'd like to order. Then I ordered... smash fries and got regular fries. I overheard after I ordered that they were out, but they never offered for me to cancel myorder of smash fries or even explained it to me when I got my food. They just tried passing it off like it was what I ordered. I find that dishonest. The regular fries just aren't the same. It wasn't worth an argument, but it is the small things thatmatter when it comes to customer service. Read more
Poor customer service. I waited in a line while the staff decided they wanted to chat with each other by the cash registers.... Other customers left the line but I waited because I really wanted smash fries. When I got to the front of the line, he took myorder but then told me they were out of smash fries so I said never mind and left. Staff member working the cash register waswearing random clothing wasn't sure if he really worked there at all since he wasn't sure of the menu. Read more
Especially considering it's in an airport, this is a good Smashburger. The food quality is on par with what you'd expect from... this chain, and the service was friendly, even though they were a little busy at the time. They did forget some of the toppingson my order, but other than that, it was a good experience! Read more
