I been eating here before they open their restaurant they had a taco stand nearby and food is still delicious. Sure they had... pros and cons but until today their is a friendly waitress, and my favorite food that I recommend is the "Tacos Piratas" withflour Tortilla. I would recommend to order food right away so their won't be long time waiting ???????? Read more

Delicious REAL beef asada and fresh flour tortillas. Good customer service too. The inside was also clean and well maintained.... And the prices were very competitive, great deal. Would definitely recommend. Read more

I love Mexican food, and this is important when you live in a city like Houston, since Mexican and Tex Mex foods are a regular... way of life. I found myself scouting the southwest Houston area for lunch one day when Tacos La Carreta Asadero caught myattention. Tacos La Carreta Asadero is a small, friendly restaurant with a distinctly Mexican/Spanish atmosphere. The interioris quite colorful and I found myself looking around at the different antiques and memorabilia on display as I ate my lunch.Ordering is placed at the front counter. You pay immediately and then wait for your food to be served at your table. I like thetacos here and on my last visit, I ordered two beef and two chicken. They are good overall with adequately seasoned meat, butthere is a little more spiciness than I prefer. One thing that definitely needs to be improved is the salsa they serve with thecomplementary chips. Most all Mexican restaurants start you off with chips and salsa and I appreciate that, but the salsa theyserve here is too bland and watery. With beverages, Tacos La Carreta Asadero doesn?t have any fountain drinks. You have topurchase your soft drink by the can or bottle. They also serve a few bottled beers. This means there are no complimentary softdrink refills. If you get thirsty, you will need to purchase another round of beverages. Service at this restaurant is a littleslower than it should be, apparently because they are low on staff. My wait was a little longer than I would have preferred, butI did like the food and the prices are very low- not much different from a fast food restaurant. So, when I consider all things,Tacos La Carreta Asadero is a good enough restaurant to recommend. I have had better tacos in the Houston area, but therestaurant?s atmospheric charms and low prices are sufficient to make it deserving of a look. Read more
