Reviews for Thai Lanna in Houston, TX
Very good food with a very friendly staff! It?s a small little restaurant tucked away, but it has big flavor for a good price.... This was my first visit and I only tried the lunch special Crispy Ginger Chicken, but it was very good. I lived in Thailand for4 years and I would say that this is an American play on a Thai dish, however, it had all of the authentic flavors. The otheritems I saw coming out looked more classic. I wish the egg roll was a traditional Thai spring roll (small and fried with glassnoodles in it). The egg roll was still very tasty. I plan to try more dishes next time I?m back, which will be soon! Now I will say the taste of the food was pretty good, but I ordered the panang chicken curry and literally it was just chicken... and curry not a single vegetable. Ive never had a panang curry that didn't have vegetables in it. Probably wouldn't order fromhere again. Read more

Our family loves Thai food, this was our first time trying Lanna Thai and it didn?t disappoint! I am vegetarian and was really... happy to see many Tofu options as well as a few I could tell were gluten free. I got the Larb Tofu and the soft tofu springrolls. The salad dressing was delicious, a mix of sweet and savory, the salad was fresh and the tofu nice and crispy. My songot the chicken fried rice and it had a very generous amount of chicken, onions and yellow peppers. My husband got the chickenpad Thai and he said it was very good. We all agreed that we would definitely get takeout from here again! Read more
???? I honestly was just expecting your basic (fortune) cookie cutter asian food. Nope! I got the lunch special: crispy ginger... chicken with an egg roll and veggies. They veggies were asi asi, but the chicken and the egg rolls ????were nothing short ofabsolutely delicious. Both were light and crispy. I?m not an egg roll person but that was the best egg roll that was evercreated in the history of mankind. The chef?s only purpose in life is to cook egg rolls and crispy ginger chicken, Geez. I can?twait to go back and try the other dishes. I?ve been in Houston for 14 years and as a ?Chinese Food? connoisseur I can say thatthis is the best ?Chinese Food? (its Thai ????) in Houston, oh and better than New York and all of the other Asia Towns thatI?ve patronized. I have spoken!!! Read more
Family owned restaurant, clean, delicious, fresh food and the service and atmosphere are great! I like when restaurants play... music that goes with the theme/culture and the decor is also nice. My favorite here is hands down the cashew ginger tofu! I?m avegetarian so having the option to swap chicken for Tofu is great. Highly recommend trying this place out instead ofwhataburguer next door ???? lol support small businesses! Read more
I had their panaang curry which was very basic, no veggies. Just a few lemon grass leaves as a topping. I ordered it with... chicken which was also very basic. It was like canned chicken cubes heated in a microwave, no flavors. Overall, service isexcellent but my experience with the food and their prices were disappointing. Read more
