I cannot comment on the food quality, because we were told that breakfast/brunch is not served after 1:30pm. We arrived at... 1:35pm. Given the restaurant closes at 2:00pm, I find this extremely hard to believe that they would stop serving breakfastitems at 1:30pm. Overall, I felt the ambiance and service was unwelcoming. I see a lot of folks like this place, but it's a ok place to me. I consider it a expensive knock off of La Madeleine. The inside... looks more like a diner than a French cafe. The display near the register had some deserts that I may try in my next visit. Themenu is simple and direct. I did see some sandwiches and soups that folks were getting and they looked good. Unlike LaMadeleine, you have to place your order and pick it up from the counter in most cases. The presentation gets a B. The monogramplates was a nice touch. My omelette was not runny with a little fluff and that's a plus. The waffle was perfectly cooked,golden brown and the syrup and berries with whipped cream brought the right balance of sweet and savory. This is a spot youwould go to as an alternative to your weekend breakfast spot. Not every weekend, but if your regular spot is crammed with folksthen this could be your "one in the pocket". Read more
The decor is cute. The music is soft enough that you can actually have a conversation. Lots of old couples having breakfast... there, which is really cute and chill. The service is fast and efficient. The cashier is personable. The food is deliciousalthough the portion can be hit or miss.
