One of my favorite places in Houston! Tons of delicious beers on tap, friendly bartenders with very chill atmosphere. Lots of... seating for a cozy atmosphere, screens, darts, tasty British food (bangers and mash goes perfect with a pint!) They do dungeonsand dragons every monday at 6pm, you just show up and circle of barhaven (they have a facebook) will teach you to play, help youmake a character, then you play for about 3 or 4 hours. costs 15 bucks to play (bc their DMs are professional and this goes tothem) about 5 bucks an hour is pretty good for as much fun as it is. Great pub! Very cozy and accommodating. Friendly and pettable cats prowl the outdoor seating. The bartenders are friendly, the... food is very good, and the beer selection is great! The regulars are nice and on mondays there is a dungeons and dragons groupat 6pm that anyone can drop into even with no experience. It's one of my favorite places in the area! Really disappointed with our visit tonight. Barely any beers on tap, no English beer, no wine, no tartar sauce for the fish n... chips. Place could do with a clean, restrooms dirty, old dated place. I'm English so know pubs are hit and miss, but sadly thisone was lacking entirely. Read more
It was a slow weeknight with few patrons. We enjoyed our fish & chips, and a sausage roll, with a couple of Smithwick’s... pints. Nick the bartender entertained us very well. Read more
It's a great pub with an intimate feel. Plenty of activities like darts and pool and karaoke. The prices are good. The food is... good. I recommend it for a casual drink with friends. I'll definitely be back Read more
Great service and staff if friendly. Deck outside needs to be replace, which I think they are in the pr5 of doing this.
They have a great selection of beers. The parking lot is a bit of a challenge on a rainy Houston day with a few potholes waiting... for it’s next victim…the food is your typical bar food selection. They survived Covid so that’s a great plus…thebathrooms are clean and they provide a nice basket of paper towels and soap - another great plus. The staff needs to do abetter job at paying attention and providing five star service - example - we had one potato skin left which I was planning oneating until one of the bartenders just lifted it off and into the trash before we even had a chance to say “hey we aren’tdone”. Proper form is to ask the person(s) if they are finished. We could have said something but neither myself nor mypartner were needing the extra drama or calories so we let it go. Someone made a review comment that the staff is sassy…Iwould prefer to just frequent places where the staff is nice and treats people as they themselves want to be treated. Yes,it’s bar food - but a little extra love in the food you create will go a long way to keeping new people coming back - andthat’s the secret to restaurant and bar survival after 2020. ????
