I would like to preface my review by saying my girlfriend and I have been coming here for a little over a year now, and over the... course of about 6 months or so have been disappointed both in quality of food and the quality of service. Recently we had dinedin, and was curious about some of the menu options to which our waiter had no idea how it was prepared and couldn?t give areview or opinion on it- overall just seemed like he didn?t care about our satisfaction with the meal so I ended up getting myusual hibachi chicken and steak combination. The house soup was cold, and the flavor which I?ve been accustomed to was nowdifferent and not to my liking. When the entree arrived, my chicken was rubbery and over cooked and my steak (which had not beenasked how I?d like it cooked), was also rubbery and lukewarm. My girlfriend was also disappointed in her meal, and we are notthe picky type. We ordered some sushi to go for her mom, and some for ourselves, and the rice was hard and sushi below average.The dinner came out to be about 60-70 including tip, which I regretted tipping at all at that point, and we had both agreed wewould have been more satisfied going to fast food. I can not see us returning any time soon, I don?t know if the ownershipchanged but what used to make this place great or even edible just isn?t there anymore. This place is terrible ???? I wouldn?t take my dog to eat here. Gnats everywhere all in the food. The cook was terrible,... couldn?t speak a lick of English. The rice was very hard which was cooked in front of me. The shrimp was rubbery and overcooked. Must have been peel and eat shrimp that was tossed on the grill which is absolutely wrong. This is one of the smaller hibachi restaurants I've been too but absolutely love the decor. Our chef did a great job but did... have to be reminded that the table wanted yum yum sauce halfway through our meal before giving it out and also had the red meatsitting for a period before we told him how we wanted our steaks. Once we ate it was fantastic, a little salt heavy for myliking but one of the best hibachi restaurants I've found near Lansing. Will absolutely come back. Read more

This place is great, the staff was very nice and helped us get seated pretty quickly at a booth and not a hibachi table. They... have very great tasting and authentic sushi and ramen here.
