Oysters were fresh and prepared well. We tried several of the small plates and were happy with the quality of food. Pecorino... cheese with apples and honey was much better than expected. Customer service was comfortable and relaxed. Each cocktail wasunique and delicious. The blood orange was amazing. Fun little place. It's a cocktail specialty bar so expect the prices to be around 12-16 a drink but are very generous with the... strength of the drinks. They have a basic rotation of drinks along with experimental. Ended up being around 45 for two people,felt it was a fair price especially that it was a higher end place. Perfection! This place has amazing food, drinks and atmosphere but the employees really make this place special. Our server and... the bartender were outstanding, super friendly and knowledgeable of the menu for both drinks and food. I don't think there's awrong choice on the menu but make sure you leave room for the carrot cake, best I've ever had and I'm a carrot cake lover!Great job Silver Pig! Read more
First time at the Silver Pig Bar & Oyster Room and I'll be back for sure. We've seen the billboards for this little joint a few... times and decided to go yesterday. This is a small little place so based on our experience, I would call ahead to reserve atable indoors unless you feel like sitting at one of the two tables outside the establishment of they are available. The staffwere super friendly and responsive. The food is A++ for sure but does get served kind of odd. Basically their meals are allabout being shared so nothing comes out at the same time or in any specific order. While this is an interesting way of serving Iam glad our waitress forewarned us about it. We had the sausage and mushroom pizza, flaming cheese and the ultimate seafoodtower. This was all done and served with care and attention to flavor and presentation. The shrimp on the ultimate seafood towercould have just been served plain with cocktail sauce though. It was served with a Cajun spice blend of sorts that got oneverything and wasn't really fitting with the freshness of the rest of the tower. Went for my birthday dinner. It was my first time there. I ordered prime rib medium rare. The chef came out to say they were out... of med rare but had medium. I agreed. What they brought out was well done. They did remove it from the bill, but I was verydisappointed on a celebratory night. My husband had scallops and was not impressed. Read more
