Huge portions great price fresh as all get out. Do yourself a favor get the whole lobster or lobster and shrimp. Couldn't... believe how big they were for the price. Positive: Huge, clean room with full living room and kitchenette. The view across the street of the gulf and sunset each day was... spectacular. Parking and access were very convenient for people with mobility issues. Very good value for what you get.Negative: Didn¿t see an ice machine or any vending but there was a restaurant and another great restaurant across the street.The views of the water were great but there isn¿t much of a beach to walk right down to. .The restaurant is clean, well maintained and presents a upscale atmosphere. Paige our server was excellent. She was... attentive, friendly, new the menu, answered questions on area and overall a great representative of the restaurant. The crabcakes, fried clams and Greek salad with shrimp for lunch were very good with nice size portions. You get what you path forhere. Found out there are food substitution options for menu more than other places and reservation options too. Is the priceshigher than other places around it yes. Is it far superior food wise yes. This gem right on the Gulf is well worth it. We have now been back four times in the last couple of months and every visit has... been great. The restaurant offers lots of outside seating, with views of the Gulf, in addition to inside. The wait staff hasbeen first rate on each of our visits and the food has been great. On our latest visit, I ordered Grouper Florentine that wasexceptional. It?s a 30 minute drive for us to visit this place in Hudson but well worth the time. Read more
This place was amazing. We visited Florida from Wyoming last weekend to attend a friends wedding. . I am originally from... Hudson, FL. My Grandpa Ballentine used to play the organ at this place years ago. He passed away in 1976 and I had not eaten atthis place since he was alive. I come to the Inn On The Gulf every time I come to Hudson to see the big tuna mounted in theentrance. I come to see the tuna because my Uncle Art helped catch it. Every time I come I have never eaten at this placebecause I thought it was an ?old? restaurant. My husband and I came with my Dad to eat early dinner last Friday night. I don?tknow why we decided to eat here but it was one of the best decisions I have ever made when it comes to dining out! I hadscallop scampi at the suggestion of the server. It was the best thing ever! I have since tried scampi at 4 other places (in aweek) trying to find something comparable and I have come up empty! My husband had the red clam chowder and the grouper. Hewas in heaven. I cannot wait until I visit again as this will be the regular spot to eat at! I highly recommend! Read more
