Been going here since I was a kid and out of all the burgers I?ve had at bar & grills, Green Gables has some of the best.... Simple, no frills...Just really good food. You certainly won?t go home hungry after eating here. Excited for their new burgerchallenge as well. I?ll definitely have to take it on the next time I eat out there. If you?re looking for a local food jointwith friendly staff to sit down and have a good, filling meal, then I highly recommend stopping here. Read more
Great local dive bar and burger place with good cheese balls
Probably one of the best "fast food" type burgers available. Atmosphere is very casual. Frequented by locals and by those... spending a day at the lake. This place is half grocery store and half bar and grill. Definitely a "dive" bar feel - in a goodway. There's a small bar top, along with booth and table seating. Things to know: Seat yourself, pay at the counter, and cashonly. They do have an ATM available. There is a pool table and some coin operated video games. Very small venue. They havedomestic beers and a lot of fried fare: mushrooms, cauliflower, corn nuggets, fries, onion rings, cheese balls, cheesesticks. Staff is super friendly and the atmosphere is laid back. This time we went on a Sunday afternoon around 1 pm and it didget a little busy with almost all tables filled, and serviced slowed due to low staffing. But, all in all, service was stillpretty quick. Could not ask for a better double cheeseburger, onion rings, and beer. Service was fantastic. Five star all the way!
This epitomizes "hole-in-the-wall." It is off the beaten path (no cell phone coverage inside) but well worth it!! It is no... frills with basic burgers that are greasy and tasty. Be warned: they only accept cash. And if you go in the summer time, it maytake a while to get your burger as they only have a small grill. Also be warned: they use peanut oil for their fried foods. I had the tenderloin sandwich, my son had a bacon cheeseburger. 1 cook, 1 waitress. A little crowded. The food took about 20mins... and it was delicious! Melissa was really nice. The folk's that give this place a bad review, probably just had a bad day. Read more
