A friend and I drove 3 hours to try this place out.... and it was well worth it. Out in the middle of no where (compared to... life in Chicago), the Lake Road Inn has that nostalgic supper club feel I have known from the U.P. of MI mixed with a tropicalKey West vibe on the patio where you are surrounded with tropical plants, a koi pond and some of the friendliest people you canmeet. What truly blew us away was the quality of food we encountered! We started with a Shrimp Ceviche that was so fresh andamazingly seasoned. This was followed by Irish Nachos, a suggestion by our amazing waiter Jeff! Deliscious! Main course? A NYstrip that was so perfectly cooked I would have sworn it came from a steakhouse in Downtown Chicago. Amazingly prepared withsmashed potatoes and green beans. The entire dish could not have been more expertly prepared and seasoned! If you spend any timein Bloomington/Normal you need to take the time to hit The Lake Road Inn. You will not be let down. Now the only bar and grill at Lake Bloomington. They have a great outdoor beer garden with lots of tropical plants. Your table... feels like a secluded island paradise. This is a bar and grill with good burgers, wings, salads and more. Popular place tohang out after a day on the lake. Read more

Steak Night! Decided to give their Steak Night a try and we?re very pleased we did! Nice cut for a Ribeye Steak cooked to order... and served hot! Dinner salad that came with it is one of the best in the area several different kinds of greens, additionalveggies and cheese, large baked potato and garlic bread. Everything was delicious, as has been their other menu items we?ve hadrecently. Definitely short on help which kept Craig and Teri hustling all night long. They both did an exceptional job keepingthe diners happy. We enjoyed our dinners! Read more

Food was average and over priced got a sandwich called a steak bomb it consisted of about 3 ounces of roast beef with some diced... onions and pepper on a discount store hamburger bun with some tater tots with tax was around 10 bucks. Waitress took drinkorder then food order brought food then didn't return until she brought the check Probably won't go back. Read more
