Went there Thursday, horrible service, food was ok, waiter was rude, didn't come back to our table to ask how it was or if we... needed anything. I sat down the guy never asked me what I wanted - but only for my ID staring me with a weird eyes. We had to wait to be able to... ask for the drinks!. After getting the drinks that took a long time - we asked for a menu - we had to get up and follow thisguy to be able to get the menu.. never ever had this kind of experience in one other restaurant. I've been going to SoHo for a few years now and haven't been dissatisfied at all. I do miss the lunch buffet but it's definitely... not a deal breaker for me. Dining room is large and can accommodate a good size group.The food is always spot on and cocktailsare individually made and not premixed. Really good Chinese food for a decent price. We got the pu pu platter for two and it was great. The fried food was fresh and... crispy and the beef teriyaki was tender and full of flavor. Sesame chicken and house rice was also great. Had a chance tomeet the owner, May. She was very nice and checked to see if I was happy with the food and service. Not a cursory “iseverything okay?” She really does care about how they are doing. It’s her place and wants to make sure her customers arehappy. Alice was our waitress and checked in with us regularly to see if there was anything we needed. The restaurant itselfis very nice. Everything was clean and organized. The seating and tables were in great shape. Nice ambience too with the calmlighting. There’s plenty of parking outside. It's not super well lit, so you need to be careful of people driving likeknuckleheads in their pickup trucks racing across through the parking lot, presumably so they can get to the bar before itcloses (yeah, I encountered one of those folks when I was leaving). The entrance to the restaurant is well lit, and has gentletiered ramps for handicap access. They have music playing outside in the deck area if you'd like to eat outside. Only downsideI could find was the bathroom was kind of shelled when we got there in the evening. It smelled fine and there were nosuperheroes who the missed the toilet. Just the waste baskets were full and there was paper on the floor. I wouldn't knock ittoo much though. They don't have a lot of staff and everyone was busy working and trying to eat a little bit of food when theygot a moment. I'm sure every evening thing is restocked and cleaned. We went on a Friday night so the bathroom situation istotally understandable. Overall, it was a great experience and I'll definitely be back to give them more business. Service was great but the sushi was bad. Our sashimi was cut into odd shapes.
