Reviews for Fish & Game in Hudson, NY

I don’t mind paying for a great dining experience, but this was merely good and not worthy of the $260 dollars my friend and I... spent on dinner, including gratuity. My oysters were excellent, cocktail okay, and my trout delicious. The wine recommendationwas solid, and we had 3 glasses between us, not a bottle. But the portions are tiny. I almost laughed when the server told usabout the duck special for $125, which is criminal. Save your money and go to American Glory Barbecue, which has more welcomingservers, amazing food, and a bartender named Joe, who is a truly gifted mixologist. You’ll spend less and have a better time.Go to Fish & Game if you prefer a too-cool-for-school hipster vibe, where you can rub elbows with Manhattanites and Brooklynites in town for the weekend and bask in their pretentious, monied glow. The locals won’t be there; they know better. Read more

Beautiful decor / excellent setting... but everything else, including the menu, was overly pretentious and out of place. The... menu featured a $125 duck dish and a $58 pasta dish. the whole experience was just odd Read more

Came here with 10 friends to celebrate a birthday. We ate in the private dining room. The service was amazing, especially the... wine recommendations and just being accommodating to a larger group. The menu was delicious, the pumpkin tortelli was amazing.Overall would highly recommend. Read more

The food is amazing, don't get me wrong. But the portions are tiny for very expensive mains. I could afford to eat there but the... staff treats you like you'll never have enough money to truly feel welcome. Cocktails are a whopping $15 for mostly ice. You'regetting two sips of pretentiousness. You can get great, or even better food elsewhere that doesn't cater to touristy outsiders, who've lost touch with the actual cost of food. Pasta is cheap. Don't be fooled. Read more
