We had a really amazing experience at Taverna. All the food we had was exceptional. The oysters were some of the best I?ve had,... partly because the accompaniments were so good. The lobster poutine was delicious, I?d love to know how they made the Frenchfries so good! I had the Pineapple Mezcal Sour which was just superb, honestly one of the best cocktails I?ve ever had. Ourwaitress helped to absolutely make our night, she was such a sweetheart. We will definitely be returning to this gem of arestaurant. Read more

PROS: Food is good, definitely need an app or dessert with your main course. Service with a smile and great attitude. Would go... back for sure. This review should be a 4 star but? CONS: I didn?t appreciate the chef with his paints down bellow his buttcheek, not supposed to see his underwear especially when your cooking feet away from your clients. Deserts were very weak, stalechurro and teeth sticking vinegar pie. Read more

Know that the food , drinks , bartender(Max) and waiter (Dan) are amazing ? but also realize that at 1000$ for a table of 4 to... be told they had to vacate in 15 mins when we were no where near done spending our hard earned money on drinks and food isINSANITY ! Won?t go back despite the food being excellent. I totally get that there are seatings but thé terrasse is empty andso is the bar ! Moody and modern maritime inspired sophisticated decor. It's in a strip mall but they've made the best of it. Food was fresh and... quite good served in delicate portions. Drinks were a delight. Service was warm and professional. Definitely visit this place inHudson. It's the right spot between upscale and down to earth resto. Though all the food for our table was prepared very well, I left the restaurant hungry had to make a sandwich when I got home. I... ordered the Black Cod, and though it was delicious, there were only two bites of fish. It was not only me, but the entire tablewho thought my meal was miserly. When my plate was delivered, I mentioned to the server that my portion was very small, but shegave me some mumbo jumbo about this cut of fish being so expensive. Yeah okay, but serve enough to call it dinner, not anappetizer. Charge me more if you have to, but don't send me home hungry. I paid 36 buck for fries and few brussel sprouts. Whata major rip off. I should have refused it, but was happy to be out in a resto again, no matter how small my meal was. On theother side of the coin, the fries were good and the three brussel sprouts were nicely seasoned. Also thought it showed a lackof courage from the chef for not following through and making the server do his bidding. Would I go back? Yeah maybe because itis close to home, but not likely. If I did return, I would order some oysters, a burger and beer and move on. Too bad becausewe were so excited to have a new place in town. Read more

I felt very privileged to attend the soft opening of Taverna Raw Bar and Plancha this past Friday. The food was extraordinary... and the sentiment seemed to be shared by the other diners I met there.. all of us oohing and awing over the freshness and tasteof each dish. I had the shrimp which were exquisite, the tuna tartare which was something new for me because I am NOT a sushiaficionado but this dish captured my palate and I will have it every time I visit for sure. So much taste. To finish I had themelt-in-your-mouth cod... again an afterthought and was so glad I had it. First time in a long time that I walked out of arestaurant of that caliber for under a 100$ and was full til noon the next day. Kudos and cheers to a brand new restaurant inHudson.
