Googled best pizza near me. Licari's came up with good reviews. Had the Capone, which was excellent, great sauce. They... definitely didn't hold back on the toppings. There are three important factors when reviewing a restaurant: menu, friendliness, and cleanliness. Put another way: the food,... the service, the atmosphere. Licari's passes with flying colors on each. The selection is brilliant: several artisan pizzas, ormake your own. The pies are the best in the area, with fresh ingredients, and most importantly, the crust is baked toperfection. The staff is amazing. I am a stickler for good service, and have high standards. But I have noticed that Licari'shas a fine-tuned staff that works well together, always has a positive attitude, and works diligently to ensure your diningexperience is flawless. Special shout-out to the restaurant manager, a hard-working young woman who always seems to be there,and has things operating smoothly. Lastly, the dining area is clean, well-lit, and comfortable. I especially like that thefocus is on food: the TVs at the bar do not have sound, and the music is not overbearing. Licari's a fantastic datedestination, and you won't be disappointed in the cuisine. Went here for a chill anniversary dinner. We are new to the area and we're excited to try out Licari's. Sweet little Italian... place and full bar. Kind of a modern atmosphere. Food was DELICIOUS. Was a pretty nice little spot close to home. Friendly and helpful staff. The food all seemed to come from high quality... ingredients. For example the pizza wasn't overly dense and greasy and won't leave you feeling like crud after lunch/dinner,insteadit was light and as refreshingas pizza can be. Nice atmosphere. Last time we were there was about a year ago and it wasn't good then. They might have had the best pizza in Michigan but not... from the Hudsonville location. We ordered 2 pizzas and some chips tonight and for what they charge you would expect to gettoppings on the pizza, not cheese bread with a couple pieces of sausage. Since Covid, we have done quite a bit of takeout. The first time we tried Licari?s the pasta was dry, meaning there was zero... sauce (so a pile of noodles). We let them know the issue via email, and the manager left a voicemail for us to try them againand he would comp a dessert. We tried them for a second time (takeout). I ordered the same pasta and added chicken. I gotexactly a half of a chicken breast. The meatballs and spaghetti had minimal sauce. And I ordered an $8 spinach side salad, whichis shown in the photo below. The community loves this place and maybe the key is going in person. But we are done. The foodquality, taste and portions are not inline with what you pay for. Read more
