I visit the Green Turtle with friends regularly to watch football games. The service at the bar is good but, they could use... additional bartenders when they are busy, two have a hard time keeping up with orders. The appetizers and food are good andfairly priced. Recommend. Read more

We had a table of ten tonight. The waiter was so so so bad. He forgot several items and said he would be right back them... immediately went to hang out with people he must have known at another table. We had to go to the bar for help. Asked for ourbill when he finally came to check on us and once again he vanished… once again we had go to the bar for for help. My husbandand I are very good tippers I’ve never left someone a bad tip before but this kid didn’t even make the minimal amount ofeffort. Read more

Service was good. Food wasn't hot. There was some weird guy staring at my friend. Was told to stop. That didn't help. When we... left he was behind stared while getting into our car. Was told not to say or do anything. Manager said. He is a regular. Thereall the time. Read more

I'm only giving this place a 3 star cause it has room for improvements. The place was clean and very appealing. Overall the food... was fresh and good. Even though I had to wait for a side of fries for a long time (2 beers worth of time). The beers were cold. The service was a whole other experience. When we 1st sat down we were greeted and tended to. But once other folks startingcoming in and the getting full it was too much for the bartender. He was good during service but getting his attention wasrough. This place has a title of being a sports bar, but when ask to see other sports he made it clear that the place would"riot" if he changed the channels. So how can this place be a sports bar if they only show what the regulars wanted to see? Evenif there was other TV's that weren't being watched. I see large sign on the restroom door saying military discount all day everyday. But when ask for it, I was informed that you had to be a member. There wasn't any astric next to the statement. Sorrydidn't read the really fine print. Otherwise the place has great potential if management right. This was my 1st time there willhave to think about going back especially for watching sports. Food was ok but it came out at different times for our group, and the service was very very slow even though it wasnt very busy... at all. We had about 8 people and it took us 40 minutes from the time we asked for our checks until everyone got them. Won't berushing back here. Read more

Horrible horrible experience here on Father’s Day! The restaurant was empty yet were seated in the same section as the only... other table occupied because all of the tables the host tried to utilize were not bussed. The other table has 12 people, and wedid not get greeted no less served for a long time-at least 15-20 minutes- and neither did the 12 top. Someone from that grouphunted the manager down, and she came back all flustered and profusely apologized—TO THEM! Then she offered to take care ofthem personally, and comp their entire check! As she left the section, I let her know that WE had not been served either, andshe said she’d send someone over. We watched this other table get white glove service, yet we had a kid—either new oroverextended, but we really don’t know how since no one was there- we never saw. Our food took forever, and was notcorrect—most likely because the order for the 12 at the other table went in first. After we had eaten the manager came overand apologized, and offers us 2 free desserts (there were 6 at our table) Hmmmmm—full check for 12 and personalized servicevs. 2 desserts and poor service for 6. We will NEVER come here again, and it’s a shame because my adult sons really enjoy it.There are so many good options in the area. The management was terrible, she clearly had no clue as to what was going on in theestablishment she was being paid to oversee! The lack of bussed tables in a nearly empty empty restaurant is ridiculous. I wouldstay away, go to Outback, Carrabbas, Texas Roadhouse, Hightopps…..anywhere else, there’s tons to choose from in the area! Read more

A friend & I stopped here for dinner last nite. There was maybe 5 people in the dining room. It was 630. No one was up front... to seat us. Finally someone came & seated us. Not long but we waited about 5 min. She asked the waitress for a drink menu thenasked the price of a certain drink. Since NO prices were listed. The waitress said she didn’t know. She didn’t say, wait aminute I’ll find out, No she just stood there & said she didn’t know. We asked for water. When she came back we ordered adrink & our meal. The drinks were great, my sandwich tasted great but it was literally thrown into the basket. It was acrabby melt & was thrown in there in such a way I couldn’t pick it up. I had to eat it with a knife & fork. The tomato hadslid off the sandwich & was on the other side of the the basket with the fries. Like it skid off & was put there. Again ittasted fine, but I wish I had taken a photo of it. It was a mess in the basket. I don’t know if that’s the way the kitchenput it in, or if it was the way the waitress was carrying it that made it slide around. But it definitely didn’t look like itwas “placed” in the basket. A shame this happened. If they are that cavalier about a sandwich, I’m wondering aboutordering a larger meal. Again taste was fine, but not the way it was given to me. Read more

Little did I know that The Greene Turtle ???? has over 20+ Maryland locations! It opened its first spot in 1976 (the year I was... born, don’t tell nobody) in Ocean City, Maryland. In 1981, college buddies Steve Pappas and Tommy Dickerson bought Ocean CityEnglish-style pub, The Greene Turtle, and transformed it into a beloved sports bar. Growing up in Baltimore, the “Turtle”became our go to place for burgers & fries, later on beer and hanging out with friends. Flash forward to 2021, it still holdsits own with great service, tasty menus and solid boozy beverages (new fav is the Lavender Cosmo that Sam mixed up for me attheir Hunt Valley location). Huge bar, friendly staff, pool tables, BIG game room with lots of space. We adore the green turtle! Read more
